BJMP XII LAUNCHES 2026 NUTRITION MONTH

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology kicked off its 2026 Nutrition Month today, July 6, during the Monday Flag Ceremony. Guided by the theme โ€œNutriyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan,โ€ the observance supports the national drive for better nutrition and sustainable practices.

Scheduled activities this July include displaying advocacy materials, joining Nutri-Slogan, Poster Making and Photo contests, and submitting creative entries. Units will also hold community gardening, cooking demos, and health talks for personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty.

PUROK TABANGO 5A, MALAPATAN, SARANGANI โ€” BJMP Regional Office XII distributed 250 relief packs, each containing 2 kilos of rice, canned goods, noodles, and bottled water to families affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Purok Tabango 5A, Malapatan, Sarangani Province, on July 1, 2026. Funded by voluntary contributions from BJMP personnel through the Regional Community Relations Service Section (RCRSS), the initiative embodies the Bureauโ€™s deep solidarity and steadfast commitment to uplifting communities beyond its walls in times of need.

Administered by the Health Service Division and witnessed by PDEA, all results were negative. The activity underscores the Bureauโ€™s commitment to discipline, professionalism, and transparency.

BJMP XII Marks 35th Anniversary with Successful Bloodletting Activity

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato โ€“ June 24, 2026 โ€“ The BJMP Regional Office XII held a Simultaneous Bloodletting Activity as part of the nationwide celebration of the BJMPโ€™s 35th Anniversary, anchored on the theme โ€œBJMP@35: Disiplina at Responsibilidad sa Serbisyong may Kredibilidad.โ€

The activity gathered 83 participants, including BJMP personnel and partner agencies, and successfully collected 70 bags of blood in partnership with the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital Blood Bank to help support local healthcare needs.

Facilitated by the Health Service Division (HSD) and Community Relations Service (CRS), the initiative highlights BJMPโ€™s commitment to humanitarian service and its anniversary tagline, โ€œChanging Lives, Building a Safer Nation.โ€

321 Jail Officers Simultaneously Plant 2,050 Trees in Celebration of BJMP's 35th Anniversary

KORONADAL CITY โ€“ A total of 321 jail officers from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region XII participated in a simultaneous tree planting activity on June 23, 2026, in celebration of the Bureauโ€™s 35th Founding Anniversary.

The activity was led by Assistant Regional Director for Operations, JSSUPT ISRAEL R ARBOLEDA and spearheaded by the Regional Community Relations Service (CRS) and Planning and Development Division (PDD). The main tree planting site was located in Barangay Sto. Niรฑo (Bo. 2), Koronadal City, while 14 operational jail units conducted parallel activities within their respective areas of responsibility across the region.

A total of 2,050 tree seedlings were planted during the activity, demonstrating the Bureauโ€™s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development. The initiative forms part of BJMPโ€™s continuing efforts to promote ecological awareness and contribute to climate change mitigation through community-based environmental programs.

The simultaneous tree planting also served as an avenue to strengthen collaboration between BJMP personnel, local government units, barangay officials, and other community stakeholders in advancing environmental conservation efforts.

Through activities such as this, BJMP Region XII reaffirms its dedication not only to jail management and public safety but also to environmental stewardship and nation-building, in line with the Bureauโ€™s milestone celebration of 35 years of dedicated public service.
