DSWD XII namahagi ng 2,000 Family Food Packs sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng pagbaha sa Mangudadatu

Mangudadatu, Maguindanao del Sur – Patuloy ang pagbibigay-tulong ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII (DSWD FO XII) sa pamamagitan ng pamamahagi ng 2,000 Family Food Packs (FFPs) para sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng pagbaha dulot ng tuloy-tuloy na pag-ulan na dala ng localized thunderstorms sa Munisipalidad ng Mangudadatu, Maguindanao del Sur noong Agosto 6, 2026.

Isinagawa ang distribusyon sa pangunguna ni Mayor Fieder Owen P. Mangudadatu, kasama ang mga kinatawan mula sa tanggapan ni Congressman Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu, ang Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), at mga Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs).

Ang patuloy na koordinasyon ng DSWD XII at ng mga lokal na pamahalaan ay nagpapatibay sa layunin na maihatid ang tulong ng pamahalaan nang maayos, sistematiko, at napapanahon sa mga pamilyang nangangailangan.

DSWD FO XII welcomes new ARDA through executive orientation

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII conducted an Executive Orientation for newly appointed Assistant Regional Director for Administration Norhata C. Benito, on August 7, 2026.

The orientation was led by Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya and Assistant Regional Director for Operations Bonifacio V. Selma Jr., and facilitated by the Human Resource Management and Development Division headed by Atty. Vicon B. De Guzman, through the Human Resource Learning and Development Section.

The activity was conducted pursuant to the Executive Onboarding Protocols for New DSWD Officials issued by the Undersecretary for the General Administration and Support Services Group. The protocol provides a structured and comprehensive onboarding process designed to support newly appointed officials in understanding the Department’s mandate, organizational direction, leadership responsibilities, strategic priorities, and core values.

Through initiatives such as this, DSWD Field Office XII continues to foster strong executive leadership, organizational alignment, and a culture of excellence in the delivery of responsive and people-centered public service.

LOOK: Delegates from the Sustainable Livelihood Program - National Program Management Office (SLP-NPMO) visited Kidapawan City to observe and try their hand at crafting the featured "coco mug" of Eric Coco Products. This hands-on participation is an essential step in the Project: Katha field immersion, allowing the team to document exact material workflows, tools, and technical nuances that young industrial designers will use to enhance product quality, packaging, and commercial appeal.

The enterprise is led by Eric G. Ticar, a dedicated SLP program participant who expanded his business through the program’s Livelihood Assistance Grant. Through creative upcycling, Ticar transforms raw coconut shells into a wide array of functional and decorative items—ranging from kitchenware, accessories, and fashion bags to intricate miniature display models of local icons like jeeps and tricycles.

The site visit in Kidapawan City marks the second day of the Project: Katha three-day regional immersion, as the team continues to gather local narratives and refine community-led enterprises across SOCCSKSARGEN.

DSWD XII nagsagawa ng monitoring at relief distribution sa Buluan

Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur – Patuloy ang Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII (DSWD FO XII) sa paghahatid ng agarang tulong sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng pagbaha dulot ng Enhanced Southwest Monsoon.

Noong Agosto 6, 2026, nagsagawa ang DSWD XII, kasama ang mga kinatawan mula sa tanggapan ni Congressman Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu, ang Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), at ang Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU), ng monitoring at needs assessment sa Municipal Gym Evacuation Center sa Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur upang matukoy ang kalagayan at agarang pangangailangan ng mga pamilyang pansamantalang nananatili sa evacuation center. Kasabay nito, namahagi rin ang DSWD XII ng 700 Family Food Packs (FFPs) bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagtugon ng ahensya.

Patuloy ang DSWD XII sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga lokal na pamahalaan at iba pang katuwang na ahensya upang matiyak na ang kinakailangang tulong at serbisyo ay agad na naihahatid sa mga pamilyang higit na nangangailangan.

₱1.8-M livelihood assistance, empowers 126 beneficiaries to support peacebuilding in Sultan Kudarat

A total of ₱1.8 million in livelihood assistance has been released by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII, in partnership with the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), through the Peace and Development Buong Bansa Mapayapa (PDBBM) – Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) Program, benefiting six community associations in the conflict-affected municipalities of Lebak and Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.

The intervention directly benefits 126 former rebels, Indigenous Peoples (IPs), and beneficiaries in MNLF areas, helping them build sustainable livelihoods and improve their economic well-being. By expanding livelihood opportunities, the program contributes to reducing poverty, strengthening community resilience, and promoting inclusive development in conflict-affected communities.

Each association received a ₱300,000 seed capital grant to establish its chosen microenterprise, providing sustainable sources of income while reinforcing the government's peacebuilding, social reintegration, and community-driven development efforts.

Mula sa pagiging benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) hanggang sa pagiging Municipal Link ng T’boli, South Cotabato, pinatutunayan ni Jane Marie S. Huelar, RSW na ang kahirapan ay hindi hadlang sa tagumpay.

TINGNAN: Matapos ang mahigit dalawang buwang pananatili sa General Santos City, tuluyan nang inalis ang tatlong Mobile Storage Units (MSUs) mula sa World Food Programme (WFP) na nagsilbing pansamantalang imbakan ng Food and Non-Food Items (FNFIs) ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII (DSWD FO XII).

Malaki ang naging bahagi ng mga Mobile Storage Units sa pagpapabilis ng paghahanda at paghahatid ng iba’t ibang relief items para sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng magnitude 7.8 na lindol noong Hunyo 8, 2026, gayundin sa mga residenteng naapektuhan ng pagbaha sa ilang bayan ng Sarangani Province. Sa pamamagitan nito, naging mas maayos at mas mabilis ang pagresponde ng DSWD XII sa mga komunidad na nangangailangan ng agarang tulong.

Taos-pusong nagpapasalamat ang DSWD Field Office XII, sa pangunguna ni Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya, at ang Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) sa World Food Programme (WFP), sa lahat ng katuwang na ahensya, at sa Lokal na Pamahalaan ng General Santos City sa kanilang walang sawang suporta at pakikiisa sa pagtugon sa mga naapektuhang komunidad. Ang sama-samang pagkilos at pagtutulungan ng bawat isa ay naging mahalagang bahagi ng matagumpay na paghahatid ng tulong sa panahon ng sakuna.

Makaaasa ang ating mga kababayan na nananatiling nakaantabay ang DSWD XII at handang tumugon sa anumang sakuna upang matiyak ang maagap na paghahatid ng tulong at serbisyo sa mga pamilyang higit na nangangailangan.

DSWD 'Project Katha' field immersion underway in SOCCSKSARGEN to elevate SLP beneciary products

Lake Sebu and Tacurong City — The DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program - National Program Management Office (SLP-NPMO) has officially kicked off its three-day field immersion in Region XII for Project: Katha, a nationwide initiative connecting young industrial designers with SLP micro-entrepreneurs to refine community goods for high-end markets.

The regional deployment started in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, with visits to the Decepticon and GAMABA SLPAs—creators of indigenous T'boli crafts and traditional T'nalak fabrics—before proceeding to Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, to evaluate Akoy's SLPA food products and the Inugyon Bag Weavers.

“Through Project: Katha, we aim to strengthen the market competitiveness of our SLPAs by bridging the expertise of young designers with the actual needs of our community artisans,” shared Aileen Joyce A. Dizon, Project Development Officer III from the SLP-NPMO. Expressing her gratitude for the project's roll-out, Nida Bacaling, President of the Decepticon SLPA, added, “This collaboration will help us improve our T'nalak products and reach more buyers, ensuring a better livelihood for our community while preserving our T'boli heritage.”

By capturing authentic local narratives and production workflows firsthand, Project: Katha sets into motion design enhancements that will elevate the enterprises of SLP beneficiaries while strictly honoring their cultural authenticity and hard work.

70 Cotabato households graduate from 4Ps in Libungan's "Pugay Tagumpay: Kalambuan"

Libungan, Cotabato — Marking a major milestone toward self-sufficiency, 70 beneficiary-households officially graduated from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the Pugay Tagumpay "Kalambuan" held today at the Public Market Function Hall of Libungan, Cotabato Province on August 5, 2026.

Anchored on the theme "Pugay Tagumpay sa mga Pamilyang Nagtapos bilang Miyembro-Benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program," the exit ceremony honored the resilience and progress of families transitioning out of the government’s flagship poverty-alleviation initiative.

A central highlight of the event was an inspiring testimonial from Rhesie B. Limbaga, a graduating 4Ps beneficiary, who shared how the program helped transform her family's life through sustained support for health, nutrition, and education.

"The 4Ps program was more than financial assistance—it gave us the tools, confidence, and foundation to build a self-reliant future," Limbaga expressed during her testimony, encouraging fellow graduates to sustain their progress.

The Pugay Tagumpay serves as a ceremonial exit and celebration for beneficiary families who have attained socio-economic self-sufficiency, symbolizing their readiness to thrive beyond government social assistance.
