PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Koronadal participated in the ALAGANG NDH: YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) and Health Caravan held at Barangay Tinago, Norala, South Cotabato, in partnership with Norala District Hospital, the Local Government Unit of Norala, and the Department of Health.

As part of our commitment to delivering accessible and responsive public service, LHIO Koronadal set up a service desk providing on-site services such as membership registration and record updating, membership verification, YAKAP assignment and PhilHealth ID releasing.

More than just bringing services closer, this initiative reflects PhilHealth’s unwavering commitment to empowering communities through health education, expanding access to healthcare benefits, and ensuring that every Filipino is informed, protected, and cared for.

PhilHealth LHIO Koronadal Joins DOLE XII One-Stop Shop Activity for Agricultural Workers

In support of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XII – South Cotabato Field Office’s High Impact, High Visibility Inspection (HI-HVI) for the Agriculture Sector, PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Koronadal joined fellow government agencies in the One-Stop Shop Activity held at South Davao Agriventures Corporation (SODAVCO), Brgy. Malaya, Banga, South Cotabato.

As one of the participating agencies, LHIO Koronadal conducted a PhilHealth Orientation to educate workers on the benefits of the National Health Insurance Program, highlighting the importance of active membership, available benefit packages, and members’ rights and responsibilities under the Universal Health Care Act.

To further enhance service accessibility, the team also established a PhilHealth Service Desk, providing on-site assistance on membership registration, updating of member records, Member Data Record (MDR) requests, verification of membership status, benefit inquiries, YAKAP assignment and other PhilHealth-related concerns.

The activity served as an avenue to bring essential government services directly to workers, ensuring they receive timely information and assistance while promoting compliance with labor standards and strengthening social protection in the workplace.

PhilHealth remains committed to working hand in hand with partner agencies in making quality healthcare information and services more accessible to every Filipino worker—because every member deserves to be informed, protected, and cared for.

July 31, 2026 - Mas pinalapit ng PhilHealth ang serbisyong pangkalusugan sa ating mga tricycle drivers sa isinagawang YAKAP Caravan sa Event Center, City of Koronadal.

Sa pamamagitan ng caravan, nabigyan ang ating mga tsuper ng pagkakataong magparehistro at mag-update ng kanilang PhilHealth membership, habang natutunan din nila ang mga benepisyo ng YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program), kabilang ang libreng primary care consultations, essential medicines, laboratory services at iba pang health benefits mula sa PhilHealth.

Ang aktibidad na ito ay patunay ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng PhilHealth na mailapit ang Universal Health Care sa bawat Pilipino—lalo na sa mga sektor na araw-araw na nagsisilbi sa ating komunidad.

TODA YAKAP CARAVAN KICKS OFF IN CITY OF KORONADAL

The Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Koronadal successfully launched the YAKAP Caravan on July 31, 2026, bringing essential government and healthcare services closer to the transport sector in partnership with the Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Associations (TODA) of the City of Koronadal, the City Government of Koronadal led by Mayor Erlinda P. Araquil through the initiative of the Committee on Transportation Chairman Hon. Edwin G. Abris, and the Congressional Office of the 2nd District of South Cotabato led by Senior Deputy Speaker Ferdinand L. Hernandez.

The day’s activities commenced with a colorful motorcade, participated in by the key officers of 102 Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Associations (TODAs) across Koronadal City. The motorcade symbolized the transport sector’s solidarity and support for initiatives that promote accessible healthcare and social services for every Filipino.

The caravan culminated at the KCC Events Center, where approximately 600 TODA key officers gathered to avail themselves of various government and healthcare services. The event served as a one-stop venue for members of the transport sector to access essential services, reinforcing the commitment of government agencies and partner institutions to provide convenient, people-centered public service.

📌July 31, 2026 - As part of the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region XII Meeting, PhilHealth Regional Office XII conducted a Universal Health Care (UHC)/YAKAP Orientation for the Council's members, including the Station Managers of the Community Radio Council (CRC) in SOCCSKSARGEN.

The orientation provided updates on the enhanced YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) that includes PhilHealth GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible Medication for Outpatient Treatment) emphasizing its comprehensive primary care services, preventive healthcare benefits, essential laboratory services and access to quality outpatient care under the Universal Health Care Act.

Recognizing the vital role of community radio in health promotion, PhilHealth encouraged the CRC Station Managers to help disseminate accurate and timely information on PhilHealth programs and benefits, enabling more Filipinos to maximize their healthcare entitlements.

Waiting time became learning time at LHIO Koronadal as clients participated in an informative Universal Health Care (UHC) and YAKAP Orientation while processing their offline transactions.

The orientation focused on the expanded and enhanced PhilHealth benefits, helping members better understand the healthcare services and financial protection available to them. Clients also learned how to maximize the use of the eGov App and the My PhilHealth Portal, empowering them to conveniently access PhilHealth services online anytime and anywhere.

To make the activity more engaging and enjoyable, the orientation concluded with an interactive Question-and-Answer (Q&A) session. Participants eagerly answered questions about the topics discussed, showcasing their attentiveness and understanding of the orientation.

📌July 29, 2026 - At least 300 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are now at the EMR Center, City of Koronadal for the YAKAP Caravan with PhilHealth XII accredited YAKAP clinics and GAMOT facilities.

The activity provided said participants with information on their PhilHealth membership, registration and the wide range of benefits available under the YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program).

DSWD XII Regional Director, Loreto V. Cabaya, Jr thanked PhilHealth XII Regional Director, Hector Zenon Leonardo P. Malate for this initiative.
