The two-day capability-building program brings together key tourism stakeholders from Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), the academe, and destination managers to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in sustainable destination management and carrying capacity assessment.

📚 Day 1 focused on understanding the importance of carrying capacity in balancing tourism growth with the protection of our natural, cultural, and community resources. Participants engaged in discussions on assessing destination capacity and evaluating the potential physical, economic, and socio-cultural impacts of visitor numbers.

Through this initiative, DOT Region XII continues to foster collaboration among tourism stakeholders toward destinations that are environmentally responsible, economically beneficial, and socially inclusive. 🌏💚
