The Training of Trainers on Parents Effectiveness Service (PES) for ECCD Service Providers held on August 5-7, 2026 successfully concluded, after three days of meaningful learning, sharing, collaboration, and capacity-building.

The three-day activity equipped participants with knowledge, skills, and practical strategies in promoting positive parenting and strengthening families. It also strengthened their commitment to bring the lessons learned to the parents and communities they serve.

The completion of the training marks not an ending, but the beginning of putting learning into action for the benefit of parents, families, and young children.

As part of its continuing commitment to providing sustainable livelihood opportunities and empowering Friends Rescued (FRs), the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), successfully conducted a 3-Day Casket Making Training for the Bagong Buhay Bagong Pag-asa Rebel Returnees People's Organization.

The training was conducted in partnership with the TESDA Provincial Training Center โ€“ Surallah, with the invaluable support and active facilitation of the 2nd South Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd SCPMFC).

Through this skills training, participants enhanced their knowledge and practical skills in casket makingโ€”an income-generating livelihood that can provide additional financial opportunities for their families. Beyond technical skills, the activity also aimed to strengthen their self-confidence, productivity, and readiness to become self-reliant and active contributors to their communities.

This initiative demonstrates that with the right knowledge, strong partnerships, and meaningful opportunities, lives can be transformed, hope can be restored, and new beginnings can flourish.

The 1st day of Training of Trainers on Parents Effectiveness Service (PES) for ECCD Service Providers officially commenced with a meaningful day of learning, collaboration, and capacity-building.
The activity aims to equip ECCD Service Providers with essential knowledge, skills, and practical strategies in promoting positive parenting and strengthening family relationships. Through active participation, discussions, and sharing of experiences, the participants gained valuable insights that will help them effectively support and guide parents in their communities.

Matagumpay na isinagawa ang Community Outreach Program noong Agosto 3, 2026 sa Barangay Silway 7, Polomolok, na dinaluhan ng mga residente ng barangay. Sa pagtutulungan ng OPSWDO, SCPH, OPHO, PMH, OPVET, OPAG, OPPO, at MLGU, naihatid ang ibaโ€™t ibang pangunahing serbisyo ng pamahalaan upang mas mapalapit ang mga ito sa komunidad at matugunan ang kanilang mga pangangailangan.

Kabilang sa mga serbisyong ipinagkaloob ang libreng medical check-up, tuli, pamamahagi ng food packs at mga gamot, mass feeding, palaro na may mga premyo, gayundin ang mga serbisyong beterinaryo at pang-agrikultura. Ipinakita rin ng aktibidad ang matibay na pagkakaisa at koordinasyon ng mga katuwang na ahensya sa paghahatid ng dekalidad na serbisyo publiko. Bilang tugon, nagpahayag ng taos-pusong pasasalamat ang mga residente ng Barangay Silway 7 sa mga natanggap na serbisyo at tulong na naging malaking pakinabang sa kanilang komunidad.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), through the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and the Special Drug Education Center (SDEC), successfully conducted the SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) Training for SDEC Team members on July 28โ€“29, 2026, at the EMR Center, Barangay Morales.

The two-day training equipped participants with practical knowledge and evidence-based approaches to identify individuals at risk of substance use, deliver timely brief interventions, and facilitate appropriate referrals for treatment and support.

This learning initiative reinforces our shared commitment to promoting healthier communities through prevention, early intervention, and compassionate care. The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), through the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC), successfully conducted the Workshop on the Updating of the Local Development Plan for Children (LDPC) and Local Investment Plan for Children (LIPC) 2026โ€“2028 on July 28, 2026, at Habi Hotel, City of Koronadal. The activity gathered representatives from partner agencies and key stakeholders to review and update priority child issues, as well as validate goals, objectives, strategies, programs, projects, activities (PPAs), performance indicators, and budget requirements for the province's child-focused development plans.

The workshop also provided an opportunity to consolidate inputs and ensure that the LDPC and LIPC are aligned with current child rights policies, national mandates, and local development priorities. Through collaborative planning and shared commitment, the activity strengthened inter-agency coordination and reaffirmed the province's dedication to promoting and protecting the rights, welfare, and best interests of every child through responsive and sustainable development planning.
