To cement a lasting partnership, OWWA Regional Welfare Office XII visited Midsayap Mayor Rolando Sacdalan and LGU Midsayap on October 06, at the Municipality of Midsayap, Province of Cotabato.

Among the topics discussed on the visit, one is the ongoing efforts of OWWA at the Municipality of Midsayap through its programs and services. Moreover, the visit also served as an opportunity to discuss the current needs of the locality in relation to OFWs and their families, explore new areas of collaboration, and reaffirm OWWAโ€™s commitment to working closely with the LGU. This engagement highlights the agency's continuous efforts into uplifting the lives OFWs and their families to something that is secure, sustainable, and empowered.

To further fortify the delivery of OWWA's initiatives on the ground, OWWA Regional Welfare Office XII organized the 3rd 2026 Capability-Building Training for Public OFW Desk Officers (PODOs) and Staff today, October 06, via Zoom Meetings.

With the support of LGUs and their respective Local Chief Executives, the training was attended by more or less one hundred (100) PODOs and Staff from across Region 12. Under the theme, "Strengthening Local OFW Welfare Services through Alagang OWWA and Updates on Programs and Services," the training comprised eight (๐Ÿ˜Ž sessions led by OWWA XII personnel, aimed at capacitating PODOs and Staff on OWWA's programs and services as its frontliners. They were oriented on OWWA's existing initiatives for OFWs and their families.

In her Opening Remarks and Inspirational Message, OIC-Regional Director Marlyn Jamero emphasized the role of PODOs and their Staff in the delivery of OWWA's programs and services, ensuring that these remain accessible and understandable. She further added that the training is not just a simple push for better implementation, but a drive for us to ensure that no OFW gets left behind.

The training concluded with a renewed commitment to providing stronger and better services for OFWs and their families at the grassroots level.

In its enduring promise, OWWA continues to strive for the protection of migrant workers, as well as their empowerment toward sustainable opportunities.

Today on October 06, OWWA Regional Welfare Office XII met with Pigcawayan Mayor Juanito Agustin at the Municipality of Pigcawayan, Province of Cotabato, as part of its efforts to strengthen collaboration between the agency and the LGU.

As part of the agency's mission, OWWA Regional Welfare Office XII visited Pikit Mayor Muhyryn D. Sultan-Casi and LGU Pikit on October 05 at the Municipality of Pikit, Province of Cotabato for a strengthened and fortified collaboration.

The visit signifies the shared commitment of both agencies to better serve OFWs and their families, not only in protecting their welfare, but also empowering them to sustainable opportunities. This also included talks on ways to reinforce the programs and services of OWWA to the locality, as well as the accomplishments of the said agency. OWWA continues to serve its mandate as a primary welfare agency in ensuring that our migrant workers and their dependents remain uplifted.

OWWA Regional Welfare Office XII assisted a total of one hundred (100) repatriated OFWs at the General Santos City International Airport from September 19 to October 02, where the repatriated include one (1) OFW reported to be physically ill and five (5) human remains.

OWWA reiterates its commitment to assist returning OFWs as part of its mandate in protecting the welfare of our migrant workers. The agency will continue to solidify its repatriation efforts, and immediately assist OFWs to the best of its ability.
