๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง, ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐๐๐ญ๐จ โ On July 24, 2026, DTI South Cotabato, through Negosyo Center Tantangan, conducted the training seminar titled โThe Business Blueprint: Formalizing Your Enterpriseโ at Naraniag Hall, LGU Municipal Building, Poblacion, Tantangan, South Cotabato.
The seminar gathered 60 aspiring and existing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and aimed to help local entrepreneurs understand business formalization, regulatory compliance, and enterprise development.
Dannah Grade L. Azucena, Marketing Supervisor I of the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) Tantangan, discussed the local government requirements for securing a Mayorโs Permit to Operate.
Angelo Fernando of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Koronadal Extension Office explained the SEC's functions and roles and the importance of proper business registration.
Dia Rose V. Orillo, Revenue Officer I of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue District Office 111, discussed business tax compliance and the tax responsibilities of MSMEs.
Meanwhile, Gel Ganade of GCash MSME SouthMin introduced digital payment solutions and financial programs that can help local businesses improve their daily operations.
Participants joined the discussions and post-forum activities throughout the seminar.
As a result, 10 MSMEs were onboarded to the GCash for Business program and are now awaiting the delivery of their GCash SoundPay and GCash SoundPay Plus terminal devices to support cashless transactions.
The seminar also strengthened the partnership between government agencies and the local business community by providing entrepreneurs with information on business registration, regulatory requirements, tax compliance, and digital financial services.
