Today we wave our flags high as we remember June 12, 1898 — the day freedom was declared, chains of colonial rule broken, and the day the Filipino spirit soared like an eagle. That day was a story of courage, sacrifice, and unity written by our heroes who believed that independence was worth every struggle and sacrifice. That's why today we celebrate the shared triumph of a nation that chose to stand tall, proud, and free.

But wait, do you know that independence is not just history? It is a challenge we face every day. True freedom is not about breaking away from foreign colonization, but it's also about liberating ourselves from ignorance and division. The revolution in the past continues in today's classrooms, communities, and hearts. It reminds us that a fight for a stronger PHILIPPINES is still unfolding and we are the heroes writing the next chapter.

The Supreme Student Council (SSC), alongside the students, staff, and campus organizations of La Carlota City College, proudly participated in Sinadya sa Dalan 2026—a vibrant parade marking the grand opening of the Pasalamat Festival 2026.

With colorful banners, spirited cheers, and infectious laughter, the LCCC community showcased its spirit of unity, joy, and pride, celebrating local tradition and culture alongside the entire City of La Carlota.
