The Smart Management and AI Readiness Training (SMART) for MSMEs was conducted on May 19, 2026, at Lalimar Resort, San Jose, La Libertad, Negros Oriental, with a total of 25 participants, comprising 20 females and 5 males.
The training featured Ms. Andre Claire A. Pangandoyon, Project Development Officer II of DICT NIR, as the Resource Speaker, who introduced participants to various AI tools and demonstrated their responsible and effective use for MSMEs. Through highly interactive workshop sessions, participants learned effective AI prompting techniques and explored innovative AI-powered solutions to help improve and grow their businesses.
Among the outputs generated during the workshops were AI-generated jingles, promotional social media posts and captions, live selling scripts, loyalty card concepts, staycation promotional materials, and other creative marketing outputs for various enterprises. The activity concluded with participants confidently presenting their outputs and expressing appreciation for the opportunity to embrace digital innovation and AI-driven business solutions.
Facilitated by Ms. Barbi Ann Gadingan, Trade and Industry Development Specialist, and Ms. Mae Villaseca, Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Negros Oriental: La Libertad, the activity aimed to equip MSMEs with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for business operations, social media marketing, sales tracking, and content creation.
