SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED: BASIC WATER SEARCH AND RESCUE (WASAR) TRAINING
From July 27 to 30, 2026, the La Libertad Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (LDRRM) responders, led by Mr. Ritcho "Dondoy" Absin successfully finished the 4-day Basic Water Search and Rescue (WSAR) Training. The session was expertly facilitated by trainer Mr. Jeremiah F. Tabuniar.
The graduation of the trainees was made even more meaningful with the presence and support of Honorable Mayor Lawrence "Dodong Pikden" D. Limkaichong, Jr. Joining the event were also Mr. Ronie Facturan, Municipal Health Administrator, and Atty. Ver Jethro Balasabas, Municipal Treasurer of the LGU La Libertad.
By the end of the training, all participants demonstrated full competence in conducting basic water hazard assessments, selecting and using the right rescue tools, and performing safe, shore-based rescue techniques—vital capabilities especially as we prepare for heavy rains, floods, and other water-related disasters.
We commend our responders for their dedication to learn, train hard, and serve our community with greater readiness and safety. A more prepared La Libertad starts with a skilled and committed team!
