Cultural Mapping Orientation and Preliminary Resource Inventory
The Cultural Mapping Orientation and Preliminary Resource Inventory was conducted on August 27, 2026, in preparation for the upcoming Cultural Mapping/Inventory scheduled on September 19โ21, 2026, in Barangays Comota and Lydia, La Paz, Agusan del Sur.
The activity was led by Mr. Klent Jayson L. Castaรฑo, Tourism Officer-Designate, and brought together identified resource persons, CNHS teachers and stakeholders to orient them on the cultural mapping process, discuss potential cultural resources, and establish an initial inventory of cultural heritage that will be further documented and validated during the field activity.
This initiative reflects the continued efforts of the Local Government Unit of La Paz headed by Hon. Mayor Michael D. Lim to preserve, document, and promote the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the community. Through cultural mapping, the LGU aims to recognize the people, practices, traditions, stories, places, and tangible and intangible heritage that form an important part of the communityโs identity.
By documenting these cultural resources today, we help ensure that the stories, traditions, and heritage of our people will continue to be remembered, valued, and passed on to future generations.
