𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: PCOL RESTITUTO V ARCANGEL, Chief, Crime Research and Analysis Center, Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM), graced the opening ceremony of the 4-day DIDM Nationwide Validation held at the 4th Floor Function Hall, Legislative Building in Benguet Provincial Capitol, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 12, 2023.

Physically present during the ceremony were PCOL CHARLES DOMALLIG, the Chief Regional Intelligence and Detective Management Division (RIDMD); all Provincial Directors of the different Police Provincial Offices (PPO); the City Director of Baguio City Police Office (CPO); all Chiefs of Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Division of the different PPOs; and the Chief of City Investigation and Detective Management Division of Baguio City; Chief of the Highway Patrol Group; Chief of the PNP-Philippine Drug Enforcement Group; Chief of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit; Chief of the Aviation Security Group; and the Chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

Other attendees were the Chief of Police (COP) of the different police stations of Abra PPO, Apayao PPO, Ifugao PPO, Mountain Province PPO, and Kalinga PPO, while the COP of Baguio CPO and Benguet PPO attended via an online conferencing platform.

PCOL ARCANGEL, delivered the speech of PMGEN ERIC E NOBLE, the Director for Investigation and Detective Management, to all the attendees, where he praised the selfless efforts, expertise, and passion that each investigator continuously gave to the investigation programs of the PNP.

Additionally, in his message, PMGEN NOBLE encouraged the PNP Cordillera to keep the mandate of pride and honor to serve and protect the Cordillerans, and he commended the men and women of the Police Regional Office Cordillera as they continue to have the least number of complaints and administrative cases of all the Regional Offices of the PNP nationwide.

The 4-day annual DIDM Nationwide Validation 2023 aims to ensure that PRO Cordillera is performing its mandated tasks, including overseeing the performance of all investigation units, disseminating relevant investigative policies, and checking, ensuring, and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data being generated by the Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS).

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: PCOL RESTITUTO V ARCANGEL, Chief, Crime Research and Analysis Center, Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM), visited Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 12, 2023.

As PCOL ARCANGEL set foot in PRO Cordillera, he was received by PCOL CHARLES DOMALLIG, the Chief of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division. To warmly welcome the guest, PRO Cordillera Dancers also performed a Cordillera cultural dance.

PCOL ARCANGEL visited the PRO Cordillera to serve as the Team Leader of the DIDM Nationwide Validation 2023 Validation Team.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The Regional Director of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)-Cordillera; Martel Dasayon paid a courtesy call to PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., PRO Cordillera Regional Director at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on September 12, 2023.

As part of the courtesy call, PBGEN PEREDO, JR., and Dir. Dasayon had a short discussion to explore the future collaborative initiatives between OWWA-Cordillera and PRO Cordillera, which aims to support the welfare of the Overseas Filipino Workers in the region.

Further, the Regional Director extended his gratitude to Dir. Dasayon and the entire OWWA-Cordillera team for their mutual and shared commitment in serving the people of PRO Cordillera.

During the courtesy visit, PBGEN PEREDO, JR, and PCOL ARCANGEL engaged in a brief meeting to discuss the DIDM Nationwide Validation 2023, which aims to oversee and evaluate the performance of the investigation units of PRO Cordillera.

𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗥𝗨𝗚 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗔’𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗥𝗨𝗚 𝗢𝗣𝗦

Four Street Level Individuals (SLI) were arrested, and a total of Php 1,339,040.00 worth of illegal drugs were seized in the weeklong anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by PRO Cordillera Cops from September 3–9, 2023.

Citing records from the PRO Cordillera's Regional Operations Division (ROD), the four (4) drug personalities were arrested after they were caught in possession of a total of 11, 000 grams of Dried Ma*****na Leaves and Fruiting Tops and 2.80 grams of suspected shabu, with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 1, 339, 040.00.

The same report disclosed that four (4) suspects were arrested by the Lumin-awa Cops of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office and one (1) arrest each was made by the Napino Cops of the Baguio City Police Office and the operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit.

The arrested drug personalities were identified by the operatives as Joel Osorio, 35 years old; Mayo Edas, 44 years old; Christopher Dacyon, 46 years old; and Joey Villamor, 46 years old.

The suspects are now under the custody of their respective arresting units and are facing charges of violating the R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Rufus Gayo Malecdan Jr., the Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Baguio City, at the Justice Hall Bldg., Baguio City, on the afternoon of September 11, 2023.

As part of the courtesy visit, PBGEN PEREDO JR. had a short dialogue with Judge Malecdan Jr. where the Regional Director shared the crime prevention and anti-criminality campaigns being implemented by the PRO Cordillera Cops in their respective areas of responsibilities to prevent and lessen any forms of criminality in the region.

Further, PBGEN PEREDO JR. and Judge Malecdan Jr. discussed important matters regarding Crime Prevention Strategies being conducted in Baguio City to further strengthen the partnership between the PRO Cordillera and the Regional Trial Court of Baguio City.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: As part of his continuous efforts to check on the welfare of personnel on the frontlines, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., PRO Cordillera Regional Director, conducted a field inspection at Camdas Police Station (PS) 2 of the Baguio City Police Office on September 11, 2023.

During his visit, PBGEN PEREDO, JR., was briefed by PMAJ WILTZ KONRAD SALLY, the Station Commander of Camdas PS2, on the deployment of the personnel. Also, the Regional Director inspected the facilities of the station and reminded the personnel to maintain cleanliness at their respective offices.

The Regional Director was accompanied by PCOL STEPHEN BUDONG, Chief of the Regional Legal Office; PLTCOL CAROLINA LACUATA, Chief of the Regional Public Information Office; and PCPT FERNANDO PESASE, Chief of the Regional Human Rights Desk.
