𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗟 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝟯𝗥𝗗 𝗗𝗧𝗜 𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗛𝗨𝗕
To enhance the market presence and promotion of local products, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) inaugurated its third One-Town One-Product Center at the government-owned Strawberry Valley Hotel and Restaurant (SVHR) located in Betag, La Trinidad.
Provincial Director Felicitas Bandonill guided the participants on the objectives of their flagship program, highlighting the first center located at the municipality’s Pasalubong Center within the Public Market managed by The Tuknorz Inc., and the second center situated at the Kai Cafe in Pico.
Bandonill further stated that the center will create opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to connect with potential partners for their growth and expansion.
In his talk, Atty. Delmar Cariño, representative of the Mayor, emphasized the government's ongoing support for product development and partnership programs for the economic sustainability of MSMEs.
Meanwhile, Councilor Nestor Fongwan, Jr., Chairperson of the Committee on Trade and Industry, urged MSMEs to reach out to their office to discuss any concerns and suggestions regarding potential legislative measures. “A community flourishes when small enterprises succeed,” he said.
On the other hand, Councilor Belmer Elis wrapped up the program by emphasizing the key aspects of the ongoing crafting of the OTOP Center ordinance which he co-authored with Fongwan in the municipality. Elis also mentioned that MSMEs will be incorporated into the sisterhood programs of La Trinidad.
Various business organizations, entrepreneurs, and government offices attended the launch, including Municipal Agriculturist Nida Organo, Municipal Administrator Atty. Franco Bawang, Jr. and SVHR Manager Deborah Molitas.
Putting local goodies on display at the hotel is giving local businesses a high-five in the spotlight. This move boosts the local government's mission to champion local enterprises, making sure they are seen in strategic places.

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟓-𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | To build a stronger market presence on trade fairs, LGU La Trinidad through Negosyo Center and Department of Trade and Industry Baguio - Benguet (DTI-BB), successfully conducted a 2-day workshop entitled, “ Marketing Made Better: Product Display workshop for Trade Fairs”.
The workshop aimed to equip MSMEs of La Trinidad with skills and practical knowledge in effective product display and booth presentation. Participants learned strategies to enhance the visual appeal of their products, maximize booth space efficiently, and confidently showcase their brands during trade fairs.
Ms. Rouhwella P. Pinder of Pinderella’s Kitchen served as the resource speaker during the workshop. She shared her experience and practical techniques on creating attractive and engaging product displays that help businesses stand out during trade fairs and other market opportunities.
Mayor Roderick Awingan is set to meet with business organizations to discuss strategies for inclusive growth within the industry through the local enterprise development council. This year, Awingan has raised the budget for implementing programs aimed at supporting the business sector.

CAPITAL TOWN CONCLUDES INAUGURAL WOMEN ENTREP SUMMIT
The municipality of La Trinidad recently concluded the 1st La Trinidad Women Entrepreneurs’ Summit held on December 16, 2025 at the Municipal Gym.
The initiative sought to empower women entrepreneurs by sharing best practices from accomplished figures in the field, such as weaver Rosalina Salifad and restaurant owner Deborah Molitas.
The local government unit also conducted a training needs assessment among the participants. This activity will assist the LGU in its planning and budgeting efforts for the micro, small, and medium enterprises sector.
Honorable Vice Governor Marie Rose Fongwan-Kepes, a strong advocate for MSMEs and livelihood efforts, has inspired entrepreneurs through her dedication to bolstering MSMEs at the provincial level. This dedicated legislator has pledged to continue championing women's empowerment.
In the afternoon, Ms. Janet Lee and Ms. Jedidia Aquino of the Sirnaat Advocacy Cooperative discussed on the Basics of Customer Care and Women Empowerment, respectively.
Meanwhile, Mayor Roderick Awingan, Administrator Atty. Franco Bawang Jr., and Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan assured their sustained support to the women sector in the locality.
“I am confident that the women of La Trinidad are already empowered. Your resilience and creativity in business play a crucial role in advancing our local economy” said Mayor Awingan.
