During the 2026 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet, the CAT CDT Officers of Benguet National High School rendered their manpower, time, and effort in support of the event.

Throughout the week, cadets were assigned to different areas including the Regional Office, Red Cross/Clinic, Sports Complex Gym, Aquatic Center, Athletic Field, Court, Kitchen, and Staging Area. Duties included crowd control, ambulance lane monitoring, first aid assistance, equipment hauling and setup, barrier maintenance, sanitation and waste segregation, food preparation assistance, delivery of water and refreshments to officials and first aid stations, and responding responding to requests from teachers and event personnel.

Though some areas had limited tasks at certain times, the corps remained on standby and willingly extended help where needed inside the campus.

On February 27, 2026, at the Benguet Sports Complex in Wangal, La Trinidad, the CAT CDT Officers of Benguet National High School were awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the Department of Education – Cordillera Administrative Region in appreciation of the invaluable support and services rendered during the CARAA Meet 2026.

We sincerely thank the organizers and administrators for this recognition. Though it was not an expectation to receive an award; as we had simply carried out our duties with the intention of helping and serving in any way we could. The BeNHS CAT is truly grateful for the trust given to our corps and for the opportunity to serve.

𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐀 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄 & 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌 | 𝐅𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

During the grand opening parade and program, the Benguet National High School CAT (Citizenship Advancement Training) officers proudly carried the placards of each delegation, guiding them to their designated areas and assisting in the smooth flow of the parade program alongside the different working committees.
Beyond the parade grounds, our CAT officers remained on duty—ever ready to respond to any request and extend assistance wherever needed. From putting up tarpaulins inside and outside the Benguet National High School campus, assisting in various sports events, lending a hand in the kitchen, and rendering support from the DepEd Division Office to the Department of Education - Cordillera Administrative Region, our cadets consistently stepped up wherever support was needed throughout the day.

The CAT officers proudly took part in the 2026 CARAA Meet preparation in Benguet by actively contributing to a clean-up drive. From clearing out piles of junk and excess wood to assisting in carrying essential supplies. The cadets also worked together in cleaning the canals around the school covered court, ensuring a safer and more organized environment for everyone.

BeNHS CAT YEAR-END PROGRAM & SPORTS FEST | 15 DECEMBER 2025

A day filled with interactive games, teamwork, and laughter as our CAT cadets celebrated and challenged teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie as they take part in interactive and cooperative games such as sack race, centipede race, ballpen balance race, foot number game, tug-of-war, basketball, and other more.

This event highlights unity, coordination, and leadership—values that strengthen our corps beyond the classroom.

"TULONG-SULONG": BENGUET PROVINCIAL ATHLETIC MEET |
1-5 DECEMBER 2025

True to the BeNHS CAT's continuous “TULONG-SULONG” advocacy, they entered the 2025 Benguet Provincial Athletic Meet with a clear purpose: to assist, and secure the smooth operation of the entire event. Their involvement reflected their broader mission across all school and community activities—to be a reliable force of discipline, organization, and teamwork. From the opening ceremony to the week-long competitions. Throughout the continuation of the meet, the CAT served as a constant and dependable presence—readily assisting in various tasks. The CAT’s purpose and presence reinforced the values of unity and support that guide the CAT organization.

BASIC SWIM & WATER SURVIVAL TRAINING | NOVEMBER 15, 2025

To strengthen readiness for certain emergency situations, the Citizenship Advancement Training (CAT) organized a Basic Swim & Water Survival Training session participated in by the CAT Officers and C**T Aspirants at the Benguet Aquatic Center, under the guidance of instructors Sir Benson Diwa and Sir Antonio Calatan.

The session opened with warm-ups, followed by lessons on essential self-protection in the water and the core principle of rescue. One such that was highlighted was “Save yourself first before saving others.” It emphasizes the lifelong value of swimming and water survival skills—abilities that not only ensure safety but also build confidence, freedom, and readiness to help ourselves and others in any water-related situation.

The participants also practiced fundamental water skills—from basic familiarization and buoyancy control to essential swimming techniques—building confidence, coordination, and proper breathing in the water.

Our deepest appreciation to sir Benson S. Diwa and sir Antonio B. Calatan for sharing their expertise, guidance, and patience throughout the training. Their commitment ensured a safe, enriching, and successful learning experience for all.

Though this was only a single session, we hope to have the chance to coordinate or participate in more trainings ahead to further enhance our skills, deepen our knowledge, and strengthen our preparedness in the water.

4TH QUARTER NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) | 11.07.25

Benguet National High School has yet again participated in the last NSED of the year. The successful planning and active volunteerism of SALIDA volunteers, SSLG officers, CAT and C.O.L.T., BSP & GSP, RCY, together with Science Club has led to the success of the drill.

Although there is room for improvements, the last quarter drill has improved a lot more from the previous.

| IPED MONTH CULMINATING PROGRAM |
NOVEMBER 4 & 6, 2025

To conclude the celebration of Indigenous Peoples Education (IPED) Month, the Araling Panlipunan Department and Social Science Department of Benguet National High School conducted the IPED Month Culminating Program, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Cordillera.

The event featured vibrant performances, including the entrance dance and fashion show representing the Ifugao, Kalinga, Benguet Ibaloi, Benguet Kankana-ey, and Mountain Province cultures, alongside a musical ensemble competition and the championship round of the IPED games. The program concluded with a community Bendian dance and grand march.

The CAT, along with other fellow club members, played an active role throughout the event—assisting with venue setup, maintaining order through crowd control and human barricading, and finally performing the Exit of Colors to formally close the program.

The CAT expresses their gratitude for being part of this meaningful celebration that honors and uplifts the identity and traditions of the Indigenous Peoples of the Cordillera.

KABATAAN PARA SA KALIKASAN CLEAN UP DRIVE | AUGUST 30, 2025

The Benguet National High School CAT officers and aspirants, in an activity conducted by the SK Wangal and in coordination with the CCDC ROTC, actively took part in a community clean-up drive.

The activity began at the Wangal junction waiting shed, where participants were divided into three groups—one covering the road towards the motorpool area, another leading to the BeNHS vicinity, and the last ensuring surrounding areas were cleared. All groups later converged at the motorpool jeepney waiting area, marking the success of the drive.
