The Provincial Human Resource Management Office of the Provincial Government of Kalinga paid visit to the Benguet General Hospital for an inter-provincial learning exchange especially on the hospital’s best practices and others on May 13, 2026.

Receiving the Kalinga Provincial HRMO Team were Dr. Maria Imelda C. Ulep (BeGH Chief of Hospital III), Dr. Daisy Mae C. Tagudar (OIC-Chief of Medical Professional Staff) , Ms Priscilla Kibatay (Chief Administrative Officer), Medical Department Heads and representatives; Ms. Ellen Calpito (AO III) and admin staff. Visiting from the Kalinga team were Ms Remely T. Battikin( Assistant Provincial HRMO), Ms. Leonida M. Manodon (Supervising Administrative Officer) , Mr. Shawn Michael Bariva (AO V), Ms. Queenielyn A. Fidelino (AO I), Mr Bryan James G. Mangadang (AAIV).

Ms. Battikin and Mr. Bariva expressed their gratitude to the BeGH staff for generously sharing their best practices, which could serve as framework that can be replicated in health facilities in Kalinga. Mr. Bariva, representing the Learning and Development Section, also extended an invitation to the medical department heads to visit Kalinga Provincial Hospital for another possible learning exchange.

In view of the National Women’s Month, BeGH’s Department of Surgery, in collaboration with the Cordillera Consortium, conducted a lay forum on breast screening and prevention with the theme . The activity aimed to empower the public—especially women—by promoting awareness and knowledge on early detection.

The forum was held on March 27, 2026, at the Outpatient Department and was attended by outpatients, hospital personnel, and affiliates.
