The Philippine College of Hospital Administrators (PCHA), Inc. visited Benguet General Hospital on August 13, 2026, as part of the immersion practicum and comprehensive examination for professionals enrolled in the Diploma Program in Healthcare Leadership and Management

The delegates were warmly welcomed by Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas and Chief of Hospital III Dr. Maria Imelda C. Ulep.

The visit provided the participants valuable experience on BeGH operations and its healthcare management practices.

The organizing team of 2026 National Hospital Week, led by Dr. Eleanor Baldo-Soriano, held the awarding of prizes, medals, and certificates to all hospital personnel who participated in the Step Up Virtual Fun Galaw Challenge 2026. This activity is in celebration of the National Hospital Week 2026.

The awarding ceremony took place right after the Flag Raising Ceremony at the 2nd Floor Seminar Room of BeGH on August 17, 2026. The prizes were formally awarded by the Chief of Hospital III, Dr. Maria Imelda C. Ulep.

Winners received their prizes during the ceremony, while those who were off‑duty had their awards accepted on their behalf by designated representatives.

The Step Up Virtual Fun Galaw Challenge 2026 is a fitness and wellness activity that combines virtual step count challenges with fun physical exercises. It encourages participants to move — whether walking, jogging, or running — at their own time, place, and pace. The person with the highest number of steps accumulated will be declared the winner.

𝐁𝐞𝐆𝐇 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 2026

Benguet General Hospital,through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-Gyn), successfully celebrated the National Family Planning Month on August 17, 2026.

The activity aimed to raise awareness about the importance of family planning for women to make informed decisions regarding their reproductive health. Through responsible family planning, couples can work toward healthier families and, eventually, a healthier nation.

The participants were warmly welcomed by Chief of Hospital III, Dr. Maria Imelda C. Ulep. Dr. Arlene Mae Bayubay also gave an overview of the celebration of the National Family Planning Month.

The celebration featured a lay forum attended by patients from the OPD-OB-Gyn. Lectures were conducted by Dr. Jyn Desire N, Oillas, Dr. Andreinne Angiwan, Dr. Dionesia Garci, and Dr. Michelle Depaynos.

Participants listened attentively to the lectures and information shared by the lecturers. The activity provided an opportunity for patients to gain valuable knowledge and to better understand available family planning options, helping them make informed and responsible choices for their families.

𝐁𝐞𝐆𝐇 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 2026 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦, 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐒𝐀 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐒𝐲𝐬 𝐈𝐃 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

As part of the culminating activity of the 2026 National Hospital Week, BeGH conducted a lay forum focusing on the orientation and awareness of YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) and GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible for Medications for Outpatient Treatment) on August 12, 2026 at the hospital lobby.

The activity was attended by hospital personnel and outpatients of BeGH, providing participants with valuable information on these programs and how they can access and benefit from the services under these programs.

Sharing his valuable knowledge on YAKAP and GAMOT was Mr. Nolan G. Sabling of the Benguet Local Health Insurance Office. He was formally introduced by Dr. Gladys Navarro.

Welcoming all participants during the activity was Ms Sandra Teofilo, RN while Dr. Daisy Mae Tagudar officially started the activity with her opening remarks.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) was also recognized for its participation of the 2026 National Hospital Week through the Philsys ID Registration.
