AN ORDER ADOPTING A FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK SCHEDULE IN THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF BURGOS PURSUANT TO CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2600838, SERIES OF 2026, AND MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR 114 ISSUED BY THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

Pursuant to Civil Service Commission Resolution No. 2600838, Series of 2026 and Memorandum Circular no. 114 issued by the Office of the President, the Municipality of Burgos will implement a 4-Day Compressed Work Week starting September 7, 2026.

LGU Burgos Operation Schedule
Monday - Thursday :
7:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Friday - Sunday : No Office Operations

Frontline and essential service offices such as the Municipal Health Office and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office will continue their regular schedules to ensure the continuous delivery of public services.

Rain or shine, tuloy ang serbisyo! Ngayong araw, September 4, 2026, ay matagumpay na naipamahagi ang Third Wave of the Rice Distribution Program sa mga benepisyaryo ng Municipality of Burgos.

Ang programa ay isinagawa sa ilalim ng Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) FY 2026, katuwang ang ating mga Barangay Officials para sa maayos na pamamahagi ng bigas.

The Municipality of Burgos, La Union, conducted the LGU Scholarship Distribution for the First Semester of School Year 2026–2027 on September 3, 2026, providing educational assistance to qualified student beneficiaries.

This initiative reflects the LGU’s continued commitment to supporting the education and aspirations of the youth of Burgos.

Pursuant to Malacaňang Memorandum Circular Number 134,classes in the municipality are suspended due to the inclement weather condition brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat).Schools are directed to shift to Alternative Learning Modes.

The Municipality of Burgos, La Union, warmly welcomed Engr. Reynante D. Lucina, Branch Manager of LUELCO – Naguilian, La Union, during his courtesy visit to the Office of the Municipal Mayor.

The visit also highlighted the importance of close coordination between the Local Government Unit and LUELCO, especially during periods of inclement weather. As part of their safety and preparedness efforts, LUELCO personnel also conducted an inspection of power lines in the municipality to help ensure the reliability and safety of electrical services.

The Municipality of Burgos appreciates LUELCO’s continued cooperation and commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the Burgosian community.

🤝 COURTESY VISIT | PDRRMO BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINERS

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Basic Life Support (BLS) Trainers paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Delfin C. Comedis, Jr., Municipal Mayor of Burgos, La Union, as they begin their one-week Basic Life Support Training in the municipality.

The training aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of participants in basic life support, first aid, and emergency response, equipping them with the necessary skills to respond effectively during emergencies.

The Municipality of Burgos warmly welcomes the PDRRMO trainers and expresses its appreciation for their continued partnership and commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and emergency response in the community.
