The Municipal Government of Labangan extends its deepest and most sincere condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends, and loved ones of Ms. Raida Laguiab Manupac, a dedicated employee of the LGU Labangan family.
Throughout her service in the Municipal Government, Ms. Manupac demonstrated dedication, commitment, and a sincere sense of duty to the institution and the community. Her contributions and years of service will be remembered with profound gratitude and respect by her colleagues and the people whose lives she touched.
Her passing is a profound loss to her family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire Municipal Government of Labangan. In this time of grief, we join her family in mourning and offer our prayers for strength, comfort, and peace.
May Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and faithful service, grant comfort and patience to her bereaved family, and welcome her into the highest place in Jannah.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆: 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱, 𝗔 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱

After giving birth, a carabao in Purok Riverside encountered serious postpartum complications when its placenta failed to be expelled. As days passed, a severe vulvar infection developed and became infested with maggots (myiasis), leaving the animal in critical condition. Tragically, the calf did not survive, and the mother carabao’s chances of recovery appeared uncertain.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Municipal Agriculture Office of Labangan, with the technical assistance of the 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙓 – 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢, immediately responded and provided continuous treatment and monitoring.

For twenty-five (25) days, the livestock team regularly traveled to Purok Riverside—day and night, rain or shine—to clean and disinfect the infected wound, remove maggots, administer medications, and closely monitor the carabao’s condition. Their commitment extended beyond office hours, driven by a shared mission to save the animal and protect the farmer’s livelihood.

This intervention was made possible through the unwavering support of Hon. JOHN Raymon C. YU, Municipal Mayor of Labangan, who provided transportation and logistical assistance to ensure that the team could reach the farmer whenever needed.

Today, the carabao has recovered. What once appeared to be a hopeless case became a testament to resilience, teamwork, and unwavering dedication. Through continuous care and commitment, a life at risk was given a second chance.

More than a veterinary success, this story reflects the true essence of public service—where compassion meets action and service extends beyond office hours to reach those who need it most.

Behind every carabao saved is a farming family whose livelihood is protected, whose burden is eased, and whose hope for a better tomorrow is restored.
