10th RESCOM-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity

Activity: 10th RESCOM-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity

On 15 August 2026, the Southern Peninsula College (SPenC) ROTC Unit, together with student volunteers from various year levels, actively participated in the 10th RESCOM-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity held at the Southern Peninsula College Multi-Purpose Covered Court (SMPCC).

The humanitarian activity was conducted by the Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA) through the 904th Community Defense Center (904CDC), 9th Regional Community Defense Group, as part of the celebration of the 43rd Founding Anniversary of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army.

The activity was participated in by first-year students enrolled in ROTC, along with voluntary student donors from other year levels. Their participation demonstrated their willingness to extend assistance to the community through an act of humanitarian service.

The blood donation activity aimed to support partner blood banks in maintaining an adequate supply of blood for individuals who may require transfusion. It also promoted the values of volunteerism, compassion, civic responsibility, and community partnership among ROTC cadets, students, reservists, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Through their active participation, the SPenC ROTC cadets and student volunteers demonstrated that the principles of discipline, patriotism, compassion, and service are not limited to military training or academic activities. Their willingness to participate in a humanitarian undertaking reflected the spirit of service and responsibility expected of responsible students and future members of the community.

The successful participation of the SPenC ROTC Unit in the 10th RESCOM-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity further strengthened the partnership between the school, the Philippine Army Reserve Component, and the community. It also served as an opportunity for students to contribute meaningfully to a cause dedicated to helping save lives.

The activity concluded with the continued encouragement of students and stakeholders to support future humanitarian programs and community-based initiatives. The SPenC ROTC Unit recognizes that even a single voluntary act of service can contribute to making a significant difference in the lives of others.

ROTC Formation and Instructional Activity –

1st Semester

On 09 August 2026, the SPENC ROTC Unit successfully conducted its scheduled ROTC Formation for the 1st Semester at Osukan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte. The activity commenced at 0700H with the assembly of cadets, attendance verification, inspection, and other prescribed formation procedures. The activities were conducted to strengthen discipline, military bearing, proper conduct, and readiness among the cadets.

Following the formation and routine activities, the cadets proceeded with their scheduled classroom instruction under the supervision of PVT EDELINE T RANIDO (Res) PA, Instructor of the Day. The instructional topic focused on “The GAD Evolution and Legal Mandates.” The discussion provided the cadets with an understanding of the development and evolution of Gender and Development (GAD), as well as the legal mandates and principles supporting gender equality, inclusivity, and the protection of individual rights.

The instructor emphasized the importance of understanding GAD concepts and their application in the military and civilian environment. The cadets were encouraged to recognize the significance of respect, equal opportunities, fairness, and responsible conduct in dealing with individuals regardless of gender.

The instructional activity contributed to the development of the cadets’ knowledge, awareness, discipline, and sense of responsibility. It also reinforced the importance of applying appropriate values and legal principles in their future roles as responsible citizens and members of the community.

The ROTC activity was successfully completed at approximately 1200H. The SPENC ROTC Unit continues to uphold its commitment to developing disciplined, knowledgeable, responsible, and service-oriented cadets through regular military training and relevant classroom instruction.

Subject: ROTC Formation Conducted on 02 August 2026

On 02 August 2026, the SPENC ROTC Unit successfully conducted its scheduled ROTC Formation at Osukan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte from 0700H to 1200H. The activity commenced with the assembly of cadets, attendance verification, personnel inspection, and routine formation procedures to ensure compliance with military standards on discipline, bearing, grooming, and proper uniform.

The training was conducted under the supervision of Sgt. Mark Vincent D Ampo, PA (Res), ZS-R22-009323, with the guidance and leadership of MAJ Jade Mark M Reconalla, 1CL. The instructors provided comprehensive discussions and practical instruction to enhance the cadets' military knowledge, discipline, and leadership skills. Emphasis was placed on teamwork, proper conduct, and the importance of maintaining high standards expected of every ROTC cadet.

Throughout the activity, the cadets actively participated in all scheduled training exercises and demonstrated enthusiasm, cooperation, and respect toward their instructors and fellow cadets. The formation was carried out in an organized and disciplined manner, reflecting the commitment of the SPENC ROTC Unit to producing responsible, competent, and service-oriented citizen-soldiers.

The successful conduct of the ROTC Formation was made possible through the dedication of the ROTC Training Staff, Corps Officers, and the unwavering support of the administration. Their collective efforts contributed to the smooth implementation of the activity and reinforced the values of discipline, leadership, patriotism, and civic responsibility among all participating cadets.
