The Tzu Chi 292nd Medical Mission in Dipolog City, stands as a powerful testament to Mayor Jelster Ed T. Quimbo’s steadfast commitment to accessible, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare for the people. Driven by a vision to ensure no citizen is left behind, Mayor Quimbo has continually prioritized health initiatives that bring vital medical services directly to those who need them most. Partnering with the internationally renowned Tzu Chi Foundation reflects a shared dedication to healing and humanity, bridging the gap for families who face financial and logistical hurdles in securing essential medical care.
At the heart of this successful endeavor was the seamless coordination of the local government through the 911 Tabang Center. Under the proactive leadership of Focal Officer Barry Romeo Animos, along with the dedicated efforts of 911 staff Ryan Sesaldo, the team worked tirelessly to ensure operations ran with maximum efficiency and care. From pre-mission organizing to patient facilitation on the ground, their hands-on approach guaranteed that every individual who walked through the doors was met with warmth, order, and prompt attention, showcasing the true spirit of public service.
This massive relief and healing effort was through the initiative of the Provincial Governor Daryl Dexter Uy, and further strengthened by the professional expertise of the Zamboanga del Norte Medical Team, expertly led by Ms. Herdina Gallegos.
Working hand-in-hand with Tzu Chi volunteers and local personnel, the medical team provided specialized consultations, treatments, and aid to scores of diverse patients. Through this strong, unified collaboration between Mayor Quimbo, the 911 Tabang Center, and provincial healthcare partners, the Tzu Chi Medical Mission delivered not just immediate relief, but hope and a healthier future to the community.
