Brgy. Buhawen, San Marcelino, Zambales | 5th Special Forces “JAGUAR” Company brings Vital Medical Services to Aeta Community
Demonstrating steadfast commitment to community welfare and inclusive development, the 5th Special Forces “JAGUAR” Company under the 2nd Special Forces “SABERTOOTH” Battalion successfully conducted a comprehensive Medical Mission in Brgy. Buhawen, San Marcelino, Zambales, guided by the theme “Kalinga at Kaunlaran: Kabalikat ang Bayan para sa Malusog at Matatag na Kinabukasan.”
This initiative, conducted in partnership with the 69th IB, 702nd IBde, 7ID, PA and with the support of the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), was successfully executed through the dedicated efforts of the Medical Team from the Civil Military Affairs Brigade, AFP Reserve Command, which rendered a total of 1,325 medical services to 709 members from the Indigenous People (IP) community of Brgy. Buhawen. The accomplishment of this mission was further reinforced through the unified support and interoperability of 12th Civil Military Operations Battalion, CMOR, PA, alongside the Local Government Unit (LGU), civilian stakeholders and the Department of Health (DOH) of San Marcelino.
The collective efforts exemplified the enduring spirit of Bayanihan and demonstrated the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ steadfast commitment to extending essential services to underserved and geographically isolated communities through sustained civil-military operations aimed at enhancing public health, strengthening community resilience, and fostering inclusive national development.
The medical mission addressed essential health needs of the Aeta community through various free services, including: medical consultations, dental services, opthalmology services, circumcision, haircut, and distribution of relief goods. These services provided immediate relief while promoting long-term health awareness among the community.
The 5th Special Forces “JAGUAR” Company, 2nd Special Forces “SABERTOOTH” Battalion extended its gratitude to all participating units, government offices, and volunteers whose dedication embodied the essence of kalinga and kaunlaran, ensuring that no community is left behind in the nation’s journey toward progress.
