The Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation of Ifugao (SKPF–Ifugao), led by Hon. Lance Siegfred H. Inhumang, warmly welcomed Atty. Cheryl L. Daytec-Yañgot, the OIC Regional Director of the Department of Migrant Workers – Cordillera Administrative Region (DMW-CAR), during a courtesy visit today.

The meeting focused on exploring collaborative initiatives for the Ifugao youth. At the forefront of these efforts is the upcoming Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking-in-Persons Seminar on July 1, 2026. This initiative is designed to arm young people with vital knowledge on safe migration and shield them from exploitation.

Day 2 Highlights | Ifugao Youth Leadership Summit 2026

The second day of the summit kicked off with an energizing Zumba session, setting the tone for a day filled with learning and collaboration. Participants actively engaged in the Youth Development Issues Mapping and Action Planning Workshop facilitated by Mr. Donald A. Bulahao, where they identified pressing concerns such as teenage pregnancy, HIV cases, CICL, and violence against women and children, and developed responsive action plans for their communities.

This was followed by an insightful session on Proper Communication and Public Speaking by Mr. Daniel C. Kindipan, who introduced the 7 C’s of Communication and practical techniques to enhance confidence and effective message delivery among youth leaders.

The Networking and Partnership Session / Team Building, facilitated by the SKPF Staff, strengthened camaraderie, teamwork, and collaboration among participants, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in implementing impactful youth programs.

The activity concluded with inspiring closing remarks from Hon. Lance Siegfred H. Inhumang, encouraging participants to apply their learnings, uphold integrity, and remain committed to serving the youth. The Youth Leadership Commitment and Closing Program marked a meaningful end to the two-day summit, leaving participants empowered and ready to lead positive change in their communities.

Day 1 Highlights | Ifugao Youth Leadership Summit 2026

The Ifugao Youth Leadership Summit 2026, anchored on the theme “Forging Future Leaders: Advancing Youth Governance in Ifugao,” officially commenced with an opening program that gathered young leaders from across the province to strengthen their capacities and promote active youth participation in governance.

The program featured opening remarks from Mr. Tom Kristoffer H. Guinomon and inspirational messages from provincial officials, including Mr. Davis H. Pulao, representing Hon. Martin L. Habawel Jr. At the same time, the message of Hon. Jerry U. Dalipog was also delivered by Mr. Guinomon. Board Members Hon. Alberto D. Binlang and Hon. Geronimo T. Bimohya likewise shared messages encouraging the youth to lead with integrity and commitment.

Participants engaged in insightful sessions on Youth Leadership by Atty. Denmark P. Butic, Ethical Governance by Ms. Anita Verina T. Paredes, and discussions on the Roles of SK, LYDC, LYDOs, and Partner Agencies and Youth Governance Frameworks, facilitated by Mr. Nilo P. Campo. The day concluded with a vibrant Socialization Night, fostering camaraderie, cultural appreciation, and unity among youth leaders across Ifugao.
