The activity aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness among students, teachers, and school personnel through the proper ex*****on of the โ€œ๐‘ซ๐’–๐’„๐’Œ, ๐‘ช๐’๐’—๐’†๐’“, ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘ฏ๐’๐’๐’…โ€ procedure and orderly evacuation practices. It also served to enhance awareness and readiness in responding to earthquake emergencies, helping ensure the safety and resilience of the school community.

The Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) is a vital initiative that promotes disaster preparedness and emphasizes the importance of being ready before, during, and after an earthquake. Through regular drills and continuous education, we can build safer and more resilient communities.

OOA 12 June 2026, The BFP Lagonglong Fire Station, headed by OIC, Municipal Fire Marshal SFO3 Jay M Tan, under the guidance of FSUPT ROEL G BACASNOT, Provincial Fire Marshal of Misamis Oriental, and with the direct supervision of FCSUPT ROMEL C TRADIO, Regional Director, BFP Region 10, participated in the Flag-Raising Ceremony commemorating the nation's Independence Day, alongside the Local Government Unit of Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental, and various national government agencies.

Today, we proudly honor the courage, patriotism, and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes who fought valiantly for our nation's freedom and sovereignty. Their legacy continues to inspire every Filipino to uphold the values of unity, resilience, and selfless service. As part of this commitment, BFP personnel were deployed as a standby emergency response unit during a basketball event held in the municipality.

During the game, a player sustained an injury on the court, prompting the immediate response of the standby BFP personnel. Responders promptly assessed the victim's condition and rendered the necessary first aid and emergency medical assistance to ensure the player's safety and prevent further injury.

The incident highlights the importance of having emergency response teams present during sporting events and public gatherings. Through preparedness, vigilance, and swift action, BFP Lagonglong Fire Station continues to fulfill its mandate of protecting lives and serving the community whenever emergencies arise.

The BFP Lagonglong Fire Station, headed by the OIC, Municipal Fire Marshal SFO3 Jay M Tan, under the guidance of FSUPT ROEL G BACASNOT, Provincial Fire Marshal of Misamis Oriental, and with the direct supervision of FCSUPT ROMEL C TRADIO, Regional Director, BFP-10 in partnership with the MDRRMO of Lagonglong, successfully conducted a three (3)-day Lecture/Workshop on the Implementation and Institutionalization of the Community Fire Protection Plan (CFPP) and Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG) in support of the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB).

This activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of barangay officials and stakeholders in developing and institutionalizing effective community-based fire prevention, preparedness, and response mechanisms. Participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to formulate their respective CFPPs and organize functional CFAGs that will help promote safer, more resilient, and fire-ready communities.

The successful conduct of this activity was made possible through the support and collaboration of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lagonglong, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)โ€“Lagonglong, MDRRMO Lagonglong, and all participating barangays.
