HALL OF FAME EXCELLENCE: PESO Laguindingan Honored with Prestigious National Award

LAPU-LAPU CITY, CEBU — In a landmark achievement showcasing exceptional public service and dedication to employment facilitation, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Laguindingan has officially been conferred the prestigious Hall of Fame Award for Excellence.
The grand recognition ceremony was held at the Jpark Island Resort & Water Park in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, where the award was formally conferred by the President of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., alongside Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Francis "Tol" Tolentino.
This high-caliber distinction was awarded to the PESO Laguindingan team, led by PESO Manager Harold Loui B. Egama, MBA, whose dynamic leadership and unwavering commitment have propelled the municipality's employment and public assistance programs to national acclaim.
The PESO Laguindingan leadership extends its heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation to key partners and stakeholders whose invaluable support made this historic milestone possible:

✅ DOLE Regional Office X: Regional Director Joffrey M. Suyao and Provincial Director Akisa Boriongan for their steadfast guidance, policy direction, and continuous support for local employment initiatives.

✅ Local Leadership & Dedicated Team: The hardworking PESO Team (Richard Baculio), Government Internship Program (GIP) , and the Barangay Secretaries serving as NSRP (National Skills Registration Program) Focals for their tireless grassroots ex*****on.

NEWS UPDATE: The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Laguindingan extends its warmest congratulations to the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) interns from the City College of El Salvador for successfully completing their 120-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) requirement at the Communication Center Office under the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Laguindingan. Throughout their immersion, the student interns demonstrated remarkable dedication, professionalism, and practical application of their academic knowledge in supporting day-to-day public service and communication operations. Serving as a crucial bridge between academic institutions and professional workplaces, PESO Laguindingan continues to fulfill its vital mandate of facilitating student immersions, internships, and career opportunities—empowering the local youth with the valuable hands-on experience and skills necessary to thrive in their future careers.

PESO Manager Des. Harold Loui B. Egama, MBA together with JIT Team, joined the Municipal Joint Inspection Team in Laguindingan to inspect coastal areas specifically for easement compliance. During the operation, the PESO also actively evaluated local establishments to verify their number of employed workers, ensuring both environmental regulations and legal employment standards are properly met across the municipality

Officers and Members from The Public Employment Service Office Managers Association of the Philippines (PESOMAP) – Misamis Oriental Inc., paid a courtesy call to Misamis Oriental Governor Juliette T. Uy at the Provincial Capitol in Misamis Oriental The productive meeting focused on strengthening collaborative efforts between the provincial local government unit and local PESO managers to bolster employment generation, career facilitation, and sustainable livelihood programs across the province. During the visit, Governor Uy reaffirmed her administration's commitment to supporting workforce development initiatives and aligning local employment strategies with regional growth objectives to provide better job opportunities for Misamisnons.

Congratulations to the Moog Women Association on completing the second day of the Seashells Souvenir Items Skills Training!
Under the inspiring leadership and steadfast support of Mayor Atty. Roy I. Macua and PESO Manager Harold Loui B. Egama, MSWDO and Social Work Interns FROM USTP-Claveria, this hands-on workshop continues to empower our local women with valuable craftsmanship techniques, creative product designs, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Day 2 showcased incredible enthusiasm and growing talent as participants transformed raw seashells into beautiful, marketable souvenir crafts. We extend our warmest appreciation to Mayor Macua for his unwavering commitment to community development and women empowerment, and we look forward to seeing the Moog Women Association thrive as flourishing local entrepreneurs!

Empowering Local Women: LGU Laguindingan Launches Seashell Souvenir Skills Training in Barangay Moog

Through the visionary leadership and support of Mayor Atty. Roy I. Macua, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)—led by PESO Manager Harold Loui B. Egama and his team—successfully kicked off the first day of the Seashell Souvenir Items Skills Training for the Barangay Moog Women’s Association. Facilitated by trainer Mr. Kenan Ubay-Ubay, the workshop was conducted in close collaboration with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) alongside social work interns from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP)-Claveria. This community enterprise project aims to equip local women with practical crafting techniques, opening up new income streams and promoting sustainable coastal livelihoods across the municipality.
