RSTL Central Visayas is also part of the DOST OneLab Network, connecting clients to a nationwide network of laboratories and enabling access to specialized testing services beyond those available locally.

𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧-𝟳 𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗟 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗦𝗢/𝗜𝗘𝗖 𝟭𝟳𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
The Department of Science and Technology Region VII – Regional Standards and Testing Laboratories (DOST-7 RSTL) successfully underwent a Renewal Assessment for its Calibration Laboratory and a Second Surveillance Visit with Special Assessment for its Chemical and Biological Testing Laboratories conducted by the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) from May 25–28, 2026.
The assessment evaluated the laboratory’s compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. The four-day audit covered management systems, technical competence, and the reliability of laboratory operations.
Following the assessment, the PAB assessment team recommended the continued accreditation of DOST-7 RSTL, affirming that the laboratory has established, documented, and continuously implemented its laboratory management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
The successful assessment underscores DOST-7 RSTL’s commitment to providing accurate, reliable, and quality testing and calibration services that support industry competitiveness, consumer protection, and public welfare in Central Visayas.

This temporary suspension is due to our transition to upgraded equipment and the completion of required validation activities to ensure accurate and reliable results.

The DOST-SEI has announced 𝟵𝟱𝟴 new qualifiers for the 2025 Junior Level Science Scholarships (JLSS) from over 14,000 applicants.

Among the qualifiers,
⏩𝟯𝟳𝟲 earned slots under the 𝙍𝘼 𝟳𝟲𝟴𝟳 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢, which supports talented students from underprivileged families;

⏩𝟰𝟬𝟰 qualified under the 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙩 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢, which recognizes students with outstanding academic performance in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); and

⏩𝟭𝟳𝟴 qualified under the RA 10612, also known as the “𝙁𝙖𝙨𝙩-𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙎&𝙏 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟯,” which aims to produce STEM graduates who will later teach science and mathematics in secondary schools nationwide.

Qualifiers who accept the scholarship will receive two to three years of financial assistance and academic support, including:

☑️₱8,000 monthly living allowance;
☑️tuition and other school fees subsidy of up to ₱40,000 per academic year for those enrolled in private institutions;
☑️allowance for learning materials and connectivity at ₱10,000 per academic year;
☑️one round-trip economy-class fare per academic year for those studying outside their home province;
☑️thesis allowance;
☑️group health and accident insurance coverage; and
☑️graduation allowance.
