TINGNAN [PART 2] | 723 Food Packs, matagumpay na naipamahagi sa 25 barangay sa ilalim ng DSWD Food for Work Program

Matagumpay na naipamahagi ang 723 Food Packs sa 25 na barangay sa Lal-lo ngayong araw, ika-6 ng Agosto, sa ilalim ng DSWD Food for Wok Program sa pamamagitan ng Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.

Layunin ng programang ito na makatulong sa ating mga kababayan sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng food packs kapalit ng 8 oras na sama-samang pagtatrabaho sa mga gawaing pangkomunidad sa kani-kanilang barangay.

Isinagawa ang pamamahagi sa mga naging host venues na Abagao, Naguilian, San Mariano, Catayuan, Cagoran, at Centro na personal namang pinangunahan ang distribusyon ng mga kawani ng MSWDO.

Personal na dumalo sina Mayor Florence Oliver B. Pascual at Vice Mayor Maria Olivia B. Pascual, kasama sina Municipal Information Officer Dr. Mark Kevin Agcaoili, Executive Assistant Florante Paat, at mga Punong Barangay ng mga host venues sa isinagawang pamamahagi.

Sa unang alokasyon, limang daan (500) lamang ang inilaan para sa Bayan ng Lal-lo, gayunpaman, nakiusap si Mayor Pascual na madagdagan ang bilang ng mga benepisyaryo, kaya nadoble ito at naging isang libo (1000).

Ang kabuuang bilang ay ipinamahagi sa bawat barangay batay sa kani-kanilang populasyon upang matiyak ang patas na distribusyon.

Magpapatuloy ang pamamahagi bukas para sa mga natitira pang barangay na hindi pa nabigyan ng kanilang bahagi sa isinagawang distribusyon ngayong araw.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat ng magulang at tagapag-alaga na dalhin ang mga batang edad 6-59 buwan para sa libreng Measles-Rubella (MR) Supplemental Immunization Activity na handog ng Department of Health at ng Rural Health Unit ng Lal-lo.

Magtungo sa inyong barangay gym mula Agosto 10-28, 2026. Sama-sama nating pangalagaan ang kalusugan ng ating mga anak!

CALL FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS | NCCA Competitive Grants Program CY 2027

The Local Government Unit of Lal-lo invites interested and qualified individuals and organizations to submit project proposals for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Competitive Grants Program for CY 2027.

The program provides financial assistance to projects that contribute to the development, protection, preservation, promotion, and dissemination of Philippine arts and culture.

Eligible proponents include:
• Individuals
• Non-Government Organizations (NGOs)
• People's Organizations (POs)
• Indigenous Peoples' Organizations (IPOs)
• National Government Agencies (NGAs)
• Local Government Units (LGUs)
• State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)

Interested proponents are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and submission guidelines provided by the NCCA.

📅 Submission Deadline: August 13, 2026

Complete project proposals may be submitted in hard copy or via email to [email protected] for evaluation and endorsement to the DENR Regional Office – Regional Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System.

LOOK | LGU Lal-lo Partners with DOST, SPUP on "Lal-lo Care" Development

The Local Government Unit of Lal-lo, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office II (DOST RO2) and St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP), conducted the development and user training for "Lal-lo Care," an integrated patient care system designed to strengthen the delivery of public healthcare services through digital innovation, on August 6 at the Rural Health Unit Operation Center.

The activity gathered Municipal Health Officer Dr. Maria Concepcion B. Abbang and personnel of the Rural Health Unit (RHU), who underwent orientation and hands-on training on the use of the Lal-lo Care application in preparation for its implementation.

Developed by the Institutional Innovations Office of St. Paul University Philippines in partnership with DOST RO2 and the Rural Health Unit/Local Government Unit of Lal-lo, Lal-lo Care is designed to streamline patient records, improve healthcare management, and support the efficient delivery of health services within the municipality.

The training was led by Dr. Maria Visitacion Lumabay, Project Lead of Institutional Innovations, together with Lead Developers Andrei Anthony Amarles, Shawn Parungao Campo, and Engelbert R. Ilac, with Cristina Tuazon serving as Development Assistant.

Also present during the activity was Romeo A. Puyat, Science Research Specialist II of DOST Regional Office II, who shared that Lal-lo Care is the first smart healthcare system developed for public health services in the Province of Cagayan, marking a significant step in the digital transformation of local healthcare delivery.

Mainland Cagayan is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1.

Expected winds: 39–61 km/h
Possible impacts: Minimal to minor damage to life and property.
Tropical Depression MAYMAY has weakened and is expected to continue weakening as it moves across Northern Luzon. It is forecast to emerge over the eastern coastal waters of Isabela or Cagayan before likely weakening into a remnant low later today.
Rainfall: Cagayan may experience heavy rain due to MAYMAY and the southwest monsoon. Residents should monitor PAGASA's rainfall advisories.

Sea conditions:
Northeastern coast of mainland Cagayan: Rough seas (up to 4.0 m) – small boats should not venture out.

Remaining coastal waters of mainland Cagayan: Rough seas (up to 3.0 m) – small vessels are advised to avoid sea travel.
Strong to gale-force wind gusts may continue through Saturday (Aug. 8), especially in coastal and elevated areas.

WEATHER UPDATE | As of 8:00 AM today, 06 August 2026, Tropical Storm "MAYMAY" (International Name "KUJIRA") has weakened and downgraded into a Tropical Depression and is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, Typhoon with international name "DOLPHIN" is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

Nakikiisa ang Local Government Unit of Lal-lo sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 na may temang:

"Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon."

Sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng teknolohiya, nananatiling mahalaga ang Wikang Filipino bilang wika ng pagkakakilanlan, komunikasyon, at kaalaman. Nawa'y magsilbi ang makabagong teknolohiya, kabilang ang Artificial Intelligence (AI), bilang katuwang sa pagpapalawak ng pananaliksik, pagpapayaman ng impormasyon, at higit pang pagpapalaganap ng ating wika at kulturang Pilipino.

Sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang ating pambansang wika at patuloy itong gamitin, pahalagahan, at pagyamanin para sa susunod na henerasyon.
