Marami ang naniniwalang tamad ang mga mahihirap at umaasa lamang sa tulong ng pamahalaan. Ngunit ayon kay DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, isa itong maling pananaw.

Batay sa kanyang karanasan at pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga benepisyaryo, maraming Pilipinong kapos sa buhay ang nagtatrabaho nang higit sa isang hanapbuhay upang matugunan ang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan ng kanilang pamilya. Ang kanilang pagsisikap ay patunay na ang kahirapan ay hindi bunga ng katamaran.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng Department of Social Welfare and Development ang mga programang hindi lamang nagbibigay ng agarang tulong, kundi naglalayong palakasin ang kakayahan ng mga pamilya upang maging mas matatag, responsable, at magkaroon ng pagkakataong makaahon sa kahirapan.

Bawat buhay ay may dignidad. Bawat Pilipino ay nararapat bigyan ng pagkakataon.

DSWD PRESS RELEASE: DSWD tells CBMS-identified 2.5 M poor, near-poor households to prepare EGov PH app, account details for easier digital payout of Aug-Dec UPLIFT assistance

Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao, the DSWD spokesperson, noted that to facilitate the enrollment of their preferred payment channel, beneficiaries are encouraged to install and register in the eGov PH mobile application before proceeding to their designated payout sites.

"Hinihikayat po natin ang ating mga benepisyaryo na i-download at mag-register sa eGov PH app bago pa man pumunta sa payout site. Malaking tulong po ito upang mas mapabilis ang enrollment ng kanilang napiling payment channel at maiwasan po ang pagkaantala sa pagtanggap ng kanilang mga susunod na assistance," Asst.
