Acting District Engineer Engr. Alnaif Ronie A. Cuevas, MPA paid a courtesy call on Hon. Mayor Jul-Adnan P. Hataman, Municipal Mayor of Sumisip, Basilan.

The courtesy meeting served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination and partnership between the Basilan District Engineering Office and the Local Government Unit of Sumisip in support of ongoing and future infrastructure development projects for the benefit of the community.

AUGUST 11, 2026 | COURTESY CALL AND PROJECT SITE VISIT IN AKBAR

The Acting District Engineer, Engr. Alnaif Ronie A. Cuevas, MPA, pays a courtesy call on Mayor Alih A. Sali, Municipal Mayor of Akbar Municipality, on August 11, 2026.

The courtesy call served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) and the Local Government Unit of Akbar, particularly in support of ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects in the municipality.

Following the courtesy call, Engr. Alnaif Ronie A. Cuevas, MPA, together with the concerned technical personnel, conducted a site visit and inspection of ongoing project/s to assess actual site conditions, monitor project implementation, and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.

The activity reflects the commitment of MPW-BARMM and the Local Government Unit of Akbar to strengthen coordination, promote transparency, and ensure the effective delivery of quality and sustainable infrastructure projects for the community.

July 30, 2026 | ACTING DISTRICT ENGINEER LEADS MOTORPOOL EQUIPMENT INSPECTION

Acting District Engineer Engr. Alnaif Ronie A. Cuevas together with the Section Chief's and COA conducted an inspection of the District Motorpool to assess the condition, functionality, and operational readiness of the office's equipment and service vehicles.

The activity reflects the office's commitment to ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and ready to support the efficient implementation of infrastructure projects and the delivery of quality public service. Through regular inspections and proper asset management, the District Engineering Office continues to uphold efficiency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of government resources.

July 29, 2026 | ACTING DISTRICT ENGINEER PAID A COURTESY CALL TO THE MAYOR OF TUBURAN

Today, Acting District Engineer Engr. Alnaif Ronie A. Cuevas, MPA, paid a courtesy call on Municipal Mayor Hon. Durie S. Kallahal to strengthen coordination between the Ministry of Public Works and the Local Government Unit of Tuburan.

The meeting included discussions on ongoing infrastructure projects and other priority concerns affecting the municipality. Both officials emphasized that effective consultation and collaboration are vital in resolving challenges and ensuring the successful implementation of infrastructure programs that will benefit the people of Tuburan.

July 29, 2026 | MPW CONDUCTS SITE VISIT TO ONGOING ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN TIPO-TIPO

Following the courtesy call, Acting District Engineer Engr. Alnaif Ronie A. Cuevas, MPA conducted a site visit to the ongoing road construction project in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan to monitor its implementation and progress.

Once completed, the project will serve as an alternate diversion route for motorists traveling to the municipalities of Ungkaya Pukan and Sumisip, providing an alternative access without passing through the Tipo-Tipo Proper. The project is expected to improve regional connectivity, facilitate safer and more efficient travel, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the neighboring communities.

The Ministry of Public Works remains committed to implementing infrastructure projects that enhance mobility, strengthen connectivity, and improve the quality of life of the Bangsamoro people.
