18IB JOINS MANGROVE PLANTING FOR EARTH DAY

Lamitan City, Basilan – Patriot Troopers of Alpha Company 18IB, 11ID,PA joined the Mangrove Tree Planting Activity in celebration of the 56th Earth Day Celebration at Brgy. Maloong Canal, together with MDRRMO, PNP, PCG, and students.

The initiative underscores the shared responsibility of protecting the environment and preserving coastal ecosystems. Through unity and action, the activity reflects a simple truth: caring for nature today secures a safer and more sustainable future for all.

Esturco, Health Education and Promotion Officer of the City Health Office (CHO). Today, we, the 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division, Philippine Army, remember our Chief of Staff, Colonel Andrew B. Bacala Jr., whose leadership was a guiding light to us all. He passed away this morning, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and unwavering courage.

To those who served under him, he was a leader who always put his people first.
Though he has completed his final tour of duty, the values he instilled in us—integrity, service, and sacrifice—will continue to guide us.

Rest easy, Colonel Bacala. Your mission is accomplished. We have the watch.

Gone but never forgotten, his bravery and selfless service remain etched in the legacy of the Alakdan Troopers.

The 18th Infantry (Deo et Patria) Battalion, Philippine Army, conducted a MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM at Brgy. Baimbing, Lamitan City, Basilan.
The activity was carried out in partnership with the BLGU of Brgy. Baimbing, local health, Basilan Medical Center, social service offices, agricultural agencies, and the 53rd Special Action Company, with the support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lamitan City, highlighting strong inter-agency cooperation.
Residents received free medical consultations, medicines, and health education, addressing healthcare needs while strengthening collaboration among stakeholders as the 18IB continues to support nation-building.
