Lucban Alternative Learning System (ALS) successfully conducted the ALS Orientation for Career Guidance for Lifelong Learners on March 13,2026 at Newlife Fellowship Church,Lamut,Ifugao, which was attended by eighteen learners together with their parents, demonstrating strong support from the learnersโ families for their educational journey.
The activity was initiated and facilitated by their teacher Margie L. Dacuso, who explained the objectives of the orientationโto guide learners in understanding their personal growth, future career paths, and the importance of values in achieving success. Their school head Rosebella P. Buya-ao welcomed the participants and also graced the activity and remained present throughout the entire duration, showing full support for the ALS program and its learners.
One of the key sessions of the orientation was โSpiritual Journey Toward Success and Listening with Love, Speaking with Grace,โ shared by Pastor Jovanie N. Changiwan. In this session, the speaker emphasized the importance of faith, positive values, and respectful communication as foundations for personal and academic success. Learners and parents were encouraged to practice listening with empathy and speaking with kindness in their daily interactions, highlighting how strong character and spirituality can guide individuals toward meaningful achievements.
Another important session titled โDiscovering Your True Potential and Designing Your Futureโ was delivered by PSSG Albin B. Bantulay. The speaker motivated the learners to recognize their strengths, abilities, and dreams while encouraging them to take responsibility for shaping their own future. Through inspiring insights and practical advice, participants were guided on how to set goals, make wise decisions, and remain determined in pursuing their aspirations despite challenges.
Overall, the orientation was a meaningful and enriching activity that strengthened the learnersโ motivation, deepened their values, and provided guidance for their future career paths. The presence and participation of the parents further reinforced the importance of family support in the educational journey of ALS learners.
