PRO BAR STATEMENT ON THE STRAFING INCIDENT INVOLVING THE INTERIM CHIEF MINISTER’S CONVOY

The Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region strongly and unequivocally denounces the strafing incident involving the convoy of BARMM Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua along the General Santos–Cotabato National Highway in Barangay Bitu, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, on August 15, 2026.

PRO BAR considers this act of violence unacceptable and a serious threat to peace and security in the Bangsamoro region. An ongoing investigation and validation are being conducted in close coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines to identify those responsible, determine the motive, and establish the full circumstances of the incident.

PRO BAR calls on the public to remain calm and vigilant and to refrain from spreading unverified information. The Regional Office remains committed to maintaining peace and order, protecting the people, and ensuring that those responsible for this incident are identified and held accountable under the law.

MULONDO MPS BAGS CHAMPION TITLE IN LDSPPO FIRST DISTRICT PROVINCIAL LEVEL EMPO CHALLENGE 🏆


Mulondo, Lanao del Sur – Personnel of PNP Mulondo Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PCPT JOEL CHRISTOPHER N ANAJAO, Chief of Police, emerged as CHAMPION in the recently concluded Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) Challenge conducted for the 1st District, Lanao del Sur from June 23 to 24 2026.

The activity, participated in by all 1st District Municipal Police Stations under Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office.

Mulondo Mps garnered an overall rating of 80.10%, showcasing the unit’s preparedness, teamwork, and operational efficiency.

The EMPO Challenge evaluated the stations’ proficiency in 911 Call Handling, Radio Communication, Drone/Zoom/Discord Platform and Body Worn Camera (BWC) Operations, and Unit Commander’s EMPO Management Skill under the Chief PNP’s Program Thrust.
