As we officially close the SK Turko Basketball Tournament 2026, we extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who became part of this year's leagueโour players, coaches, team managers, referees, tournament committee, Barangay Officials, SK Officials, sponsors, volunteers, and every supporter who stood by us from the opening day until the final buzzer.
We congratulate all of our champions, awardees, and participating teams. Your dedication, perseverance, and love for the game made this tournament memorable.
While we celebrated many great moments throughout the league, we also acknowledge that the final day did not end the way we had hoped. We never expected the unfortunate circumstances that occurred during the championship games. It was exhausting, and it was not the kind of ending that we envisioned for everyone involved.
To be honest, the SK Officials, Tournament Committee, and Referees were not happy with how the final games concluded. We had hoped for a closing filled only with celebration, respect, and unity. Unfortunately, reality did not match our expectations.
However, let this serve as a lesson to all of us. True sportsmanship is not measured only by how well you play on the court, but by the discipline, respect, and self-control you show before, during, and after every game. Winning is an achievement, but character is what truly defines an athlete.
Despite the challenges we encountered, we stand proud of the work that was put into organizing this tournament. Every game, every schedule, every preparation, and every decision was made with the goal of providing our community with a fair, organized, and meaningful league. We did our responsibilities to the best of our ability, and we know the countless hours of hard work and dedication that were invested to make this tournament possible.
No tournament is perfect, but every experience teaches us something valuable. We will carry these lessons with us as we continue to improve future leagues for the youth of Barangay Turko.
Thank you to everyone who respected the game, supported the tournament, and remained committed to the true spirit of basketball.
