LOOK: HON MATTHEW MARCOS MANOTOC, GOVERNOR OF ILOCOS NORTE, AND PFC FAYE T NOBLEZA PN(M)(RES) OF THE 11th MARINE BATTALION RESERVE AS AWARDEES DURING THE 73RD PHILIPPINE MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY CEREMONIES
The Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) bestowed the Outstanding Civilian Stakeholder to Governor Matthew Marcos MANOTOC for his invaluable service and significant contributions as he led the people in welcoming, accommodating, assisting, and supporting the 4th Marine “Makusug” Brigade attain its goals and mission-related activities upon its deployment in Ilocos Norte from Sulu. Such paved the way for the 4MBde to smoothly transition from combatting terrorism in Sulu to setting the tone of establishing a credible defense posture for the North amidst the rapidly changing security environment.
On the other hand, the PMC also recognized Private First Class Princess Faye T NOBLEZA PN(M)(Res), a member of the 11th Marine Battalion Reserve based in Ilocos Norte, for her acts of heroism and exceptional performance when her unit was “incorporated” with Disaster Response and Rescue Team-1 of the 4MBde during the onslaught of Super Typhoon "EGAY" in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Her team, amidst the strong winds, heavy rains, and rushing floodwaters bravely rescued and provided immediate assistance to thirty-two (32) persons.
These awards represent more than just simple gratitude but rather serve as fitting symbol of the Local Government, the Marine Reservists, and the 4MBde cooperation, collaboration, and solidarity for a common goal, that of a peaceful, secure, and progressive Province of Ilocos Norte.
