Due to the inclement weather brought by Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT), classes in ALL LEVELS both public and private schools and WORK in government offices in Laoag City are hereby suspended today, August 25, 2026.

𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐍𝐒𝐘𝐎: Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 131 na inilabas ng Tanggapan ng Pangulo ngayong araw kaugnay sa patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan bunsod ng Southwest Monsoon o Habagat, ang Land Registration Authority (LRA) Central Office at ilang apektadong Registries of Deeds ay magpapatupad ng 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸-𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺-𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 bukas, 20 Agosto 2026.

Samantala, ang mga Registries of Deeds na matatagpuan sa mga lugar na hindi tinukoy sa Memorandum Circular ay magpapatuloy sa kanilang regular na operasyon, maliban na lamang kung may hiwalay na abiso ng suspensyon mula sa kanilang lokal na pamahalaan. ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Norte
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Ang nasabing adjusted office hours ay ipatutupad kaugnay sa paggunita ng Ninoy Aquino Day sa Biyernes, Agosto 21, 2026, na isang special non-working holiday batay sa Republic Act No. 9256, s. 2004.
