PGIN GreenHouse Project recipients joins PIGLAS Farm 2nd year Anniversary with a benchmarking activity last August 5, 2025 @ Piglas Integrated Farm, Badoc, Ilocos Norte. The farm showcased agricultural innovation, agri-techture, arts and history.
In attendance to the activity are the recipients of the 17 units greenhouse project together with the agriculture staffs from the LGU's, MA & AO of Paoay, Barangay officials of Sarrat, DelMar MPC, OPAG and SDC staff from PGIN. It was also graced by the presence of Mr. Edwin Carino and staff (1st District Congressional Office).
BIG THANK YOU to the host CEO and Mrs. Dick Igama of Igama Foundations and Piglas Farm.

Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc led the PGIN Caravan in the Municipality of Vintar, where various offices of the Provincial Government provided goods and support services to the marginalized sector in the town.

In addition, the Provincial Government also distributed assistance to 288 beneficiaries of the "Manayon a Tulong Pasada program." Each beneficiary received Php 3,000.00 to alleviate the financial strain caused by the ongoing oil price inflation. They provided tents, rice, shirts, and reflectorized vests to drivers and operators in the municipality. [A]

SDC in collaboration with the PABEG, MLGU’s and winning bidder conducted Greenhouse project staking/lay outing in various project sites in Ilocos Norte last January 21-22, 2025.

The establishment of Greenhouses in the province aims to sustain and ensure food security in the province thru modern agricultural technologies. Likewise, this livelihood/ agribusiness support program empowers our young farmers, entrepreneurs and other HVC farmers increase their productivity.

As Typhoon approaches, bringing monsoon rains, we urge all kakailian, especially our farmers, to take precautions and protect your crops and livestock. Move your animals to higher, safer ground and use the shelters available in your barangay.

Make sure the animals are not restrained, allowing them to move safely if the rain intensifies or floodwaters rise. [A]
