Amid the continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon (๐ป๐‘Ž๐‘๐‘Ž๐‘”๐‘Ž๐‘ก), ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’๐’๐’๐’ˆ ๐‘ท๐‘ซ ๐‘บ๐’๐’“๐’ƒ๐’†๐’•๐’†๐’“๐’ ๐’๐’‡ ๐‘ฐ๐’๐’๐’„๐’๐’” ๐‘ต๐’๐’“๐’•๐’† ๐‘ท๐‘ท๐‘ถ together with PMAJ LESTER DABBAY, ACOP, Pagudpud MPS conducted a site inspection in key areas of Pagudpud.

The inspection included the ongoing road construction along the mountainside at Sitio Banquero, Brgy. Pancian, where possible landslides were assessed, as well as the Patapat Viaduct and the Tourist Police Assistance Center in Brgy. Saud, which recently held its groundbreaking ceremony last week.

The activity reflects the PNPโ€™s commitment to proactive monitoring, preparedness, and ensuring the safety of both residents and visitors.

A month of meaningful collaboration and community engagement culminated as the Manang and Manong Pulis of Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office led by PCOL JOEMAR Q LABIANO, PD officially closed its observance of the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month, reaffirming its commitment to building stronger ties with the people it serves.

The activity was graced by Atty. Joseph O. Apolonio, Provincial Officer of NAPOLCOM Ilocos Norte, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, who highlighted the power of active community participation and youth involvement in sustaining peace and public safety.

Highlights of the activity was the recognition of Outstanding Personnel for their exemplary performance and dedication to service, as well as the awarding of the winning KKDAT Chapters in the Advocacy Video Making Contest, recognizing their creativity and commitment to promoting positive youth engagement and community awareness.

Manong PD Sorbetero, PCOL JOEMAR Q LABIANO with the Manong and Manang Pulis of Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office, brought together communities to host the "One Coast, One Community Run: KALASAG-DAGAT 2026"-Kaligtasan Laban sa Anyo ng Sakuna at Agresyon Gamit ang Aktibong Tugon, promoting maritime awareness, coastal protection, and public cooperation.

โ€‹Nearly 2,000 runners participated in the event, demonstrating a united front for coastal safety.

The run was made possible through strong inter-agency partnerships and volunteer participation with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Navy โ€“ 4th Marine Brigade, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) โ€“ Ilocos Norte, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) โ€“ Ilocos Norte, Local Government Units (LGUs) especially LGU of Currimao, stakeholders, private sectors, and Community Volunteers.

To โ€‹ensure the peace, order, and security of Ilocos Norte's top tourist destinations, PCOL JOEMAR Q LABIANO, PD, along with PMAJ CARLO M ABING, Chief, TPU and PMAJ MARK JEFFREY F JUAN, Provincial Legal Officer, held a fruitful coordination meeting with Hon. Shiella A. Galano, Municipal Mayor of Paoay.

โ€‹With the primary goal of securing a dedicated lot for the upcoming Tourist Police Assistance Center (TPAC) Building, the engagement focused on boosting regional safety and bolstering emergency response capabilities across Paoay's prominent tourist sites.

โ€‹Shortly after, an ocular inspection of the prospective site was conducted to assess its strategic location, accessibility, and operational readiness for high-visibility tourist policing.
