Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 133, government offices shall implement appropriate alternative work arrangements, while alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented for classes at all levels in public and private schools on September 01, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat):

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

⚠️ ROAD ADVISORY ⚠️

The Paoay–Currimao Road near the Carpio Residence in Brgy. 1 San Juan is currently unpassable to light vehicles due to flooding caused by the continuous heavy rainfall.

Ilocos Norte is now under Yellow Rainfall Warning as of the 11:00 AM advisory from DOST-PAGASA.

Light to moderate rains are expected, which may lead to possible flooding in low-lying areas and those near waterways. Residents are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions.

As of 8:00 AM today, 29 August 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 08i) is now being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a "LOW" chance of developing into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 08j) is being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR and has a "MEDIUM" chance of developing into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA
