The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Laoang successfully hosted the Environmental Summit Seminar last July 29, 2026, at the Municipal Covered Court!
Anchored on the theme "Building climate-resilient communities through environmental stewardship and sustainable development," the event gathered local leaders, stakeholders, and community advocates to unite for a common goal: safeguarding our natural resources against the impacts of climate change.
The program opened with warm words from MENRO Officer Omar M. Pedimonte, setting an inspiring tone for the event, followed by an encouraging message from Hon. Vice Mayor Luke Jensen Detera emphasizing the importance of strong local governance and collective stewardship in fostering sustainable growth.
Together, let us continue to take action, protect our ecosystems, and pave the way for a safer, sustainable, and climate-resilient Laoang!

Earlier today at 6:00 AM, the MENRO Laoang team, alongside our dedicated SPES (Special Program for Employment of Students) beneficiaries, conducted a Joint Coastal Clean-Up Drive along the shores of Onay Beach in Brgy. Doña Luisa.
Together, the team collected accumulated marine debris and solid waste to help preserve our local coastal environment and keep Onay Beach clean and safe for the community.
A huge thank you to our SPES students for putting environmental stewardship into action! 💚💪
