Huruhimangraw with Sir SDS Jun 🥰😍

The five Laoang Districts of the SDO Northern Samar were truly honored and delighted to spend a meaningful huruhimangraw (kamustahan) with our Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Gaudencio C. Aljibe Jr.

The gathering brought together the School Heads of the five Laoang Districts, ALS Implementers, and District Heads: Ma’am Meriam C. Reyes of Laoang I, Dr. Carlos Balanquit of Laoang II, Dr. Mary Ann Infante Tacmo of Laoang III, Ma’am Liza D. Espiña of Laoang IV, and Sir Antonio Laodenio of Laoang V.

Though brief, the kamustahan was truly inspiring and uplifting. Sir Jun’s words of encouragement, genuine concern, and steadfast support boosted the morale and confidence of the District Heads, School Heads, and ALS Implementers. His visit served as a meaningful reminder that every effort in delivering quality education is recognized and valued.

Thank you so much, Sir Jun, Your presence, guidance, and encouragement continue to inspire us to serve with greater passion, commitment, and excellence.

🤝 Strengthening Collaboration Through Shared Commitment

The five districts of Laoang demonstrated the true spirit of collaboration and teamwork as the 5 District Heads namely Maam Meriam C. Reyes of Laoang I, Dr. Carlos B. Balanquit of Laoang II, Dr. Mary Ann Infante Tacmo of Laoang III, Maam Liza D. Espiña of Laoang IV, and Sir Antonio Laodenio of Laoang V together with the District ICTs spearheaded by Laoang District Adopter from the Division of Northern Samar, EPS, sir Rudel C. Lutao successfully worked together in the preparation and consolidation of the Quarter 2 Technical Assistance Provision Plan Evaluation Report for CY 2026.

This collective undertaking provided a valuable opportunity for district leaders and education personnel to engage in meaningful discussions, share best practices, assess previous interventions, and strategically plan technical assistance initiatives that will further strengthen educational leadership, governance, and instructional delivery across the districts.

The successful completion of the consolidated Quarter 2 Technical Assistance Provision Plan Evaluation Report reflects the unwavering commitment of the Laoang districts to continuous improvement, evidence-based planning, and the pursuit of quality education for all learners. Through unity, collaboration, and shared accountability, we continue to build stronger systems and foster excellence in education.

A productive and meaningful day as Laoang III School Heads together with our District Head, Dr. Mary Ann Infante Tacmo come together last June 30, 2026 to accomplished the District Technical Assisstance Provision Plan Evaluation for Quarter 2 of CY 2026 and the District Technical Assistance Provision Plan for Quarter 3 of CY 2026. This activity provided an opportunity for collaborative engagement, technical guidance, and constructive feedback aimed at strengthening school governance, instructional leadership, and the delivery of quality education services.

Through classroom observations, document validation, and professional discussions, the team offered valuable insights and recommendations that will further enhance our school’s programs, projects, and initiatives.

Together, we remain committed to fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and shared responsibility in achieving quality education for all.

Laoang III District Conducts National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

In support of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), all schools in the Laoang III District actively participated in the nationwide activity aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness and promoting a culture of safety among learners, teachers, and school personnel.

Through this activity, schools were able to assess their readiness, strengthen coordination among disaster response teams, and reinforce the importance of preparedness in minimizing risks during actual emergencies. Learners and personnel demonstrated discipline, cooperation, and awareness throughout the conduct of the drill.

Laoang Commemorates 128th Philippine Independence Day at Plaza Immaculada

The Municipality of Laoang proudly commemorated the 128th Philippine Independence Day at Plaza Immaculada, bringing together government officials, educators, and community members in a meaningful celebration of the nation’s freedom and heritage.

The flag raising was hosted by the Laoang III District headed by Dr. Mary Ann Infante Tacmo in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Laoang, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Charlene L. Ongchuan and Vice Mayor Hon. Luke Jensen Detera. The celebration served as a tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes whose unwavering dedication paved the way for the country’s independence.

In coordination with the LGU-Laoang Tourism Operations Officer II, maam KERIMA OSAL the celebration fostered a stronger sense of national pride and community solidarity. The event not only honored the country’s rich history but also inspired the younger generation to embrace their role in nation-building and contribute positively to the nation’s future.

As the nation marks its 128th year of independence, the people of Laoang stand united in gratitude, remembrance, and commitment to uphold the ideals of freedom, democracy, and service to the Filipino people.
