The Department of Trade and Industry through Negosyo Center Lapinig in partnership with LGU headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Ma. Luisa A. Menzon, through SK-Chairperson of Brgy. Lapinig del Sur, Hon. Rheabel O. Empon with the full support of Punong Barangay, Hon. Michael Mejica successfully conducted Technology Transfer Traning on Bukorillo and Molido Processing with Product Costing and Pricing last August 30-31, 2022 at Brgy Hall of Lapinig del Sur. The two-day activity was participated by OSY of brgy. Lapinig del sur, Lapinig, Northern Samar.

The activity aims to leverage the abundance of coconut in the Municipality of Lapinig thru technology transfer training on various higher-value coconut products such as bukorilo and molido, and capacitate the participants on product costing and pricing to efficiently manage cost of production and set competitive price of their finished products. This is in lign with the programs of DTI to promote the entrepreneurial capabilities of the youth particularly those who are outside of the school.

Business enterprises in Northern Samar should always be prepared againts potential damage from calamities given the fact that the province is hit by typhoons on a yearly basis.

Business Continuity Plan can help the beneficiaries outline procedures and instructions that it can follow in times of disasters. It covers business processes, assets, human resources, and business partners, among others.

The Department of Trade and Industry through Negosyo Center Lapinig in partnership with LGU-Lapinig, headed by Municipal Mayor Ma. Luisa A. Menzon, through MSWDO Ms. Maria Wilma C. Daclag and Local Youth Development Officer (LYDO) Ms.Jessalyn Juliata, successfully conducted Technology Transfer Traning on Fish Embutido and Lumpia Processing with Seminar on Product Costing and Pricing on June 22-23, 2022. The two-day activity was participated by out-of-school youths in Lapinig, Northern Samar.

The Department of Trade and Industry through its Negosyo Center Lapinig in partnership with DSWD 4Ps headed by Maam Julie Ann H. Britanico, Municipal Link have successfully conducted Entrepreneurial Development Training with Business Expense and Savings Training (BEST) Game to the 15 participants, 4Ps beneficiaries from the different barangays of Lapinig, Northern Samar.

This is to nurture a proper mindset among 4Ps members in running a business that does not survive and sustain. It was recommended to train and educate the 4Ps members in various livelihood skills and proper business attitude. With a real life experience in business expenses and savings technique the beneficiaries will be able to apply it on their own.

15 members of PWD of Lapinig were able to create beautiful crafts out of coconut shells.

Last October 13-15. Skills Training on Coconut Shell Handicraft Making was conducted through the partnership of DTI NSPO-Negosyo Center Lapinig, LGU Lapinig and MSWDO. Mr. Peejay Ano of Peejay's Handicraft Manufacturing was the trainer during the activity.

The goal of the said training is to provide means of livelihood to the members of PWD by utilizing abundant raw materials in the municipality which is coconut shell.

Who would thought that these crafts were handmade by PWD?
