FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES SUSPENDED

For the safety of our minor students, teachers, and school personnel, face-to-face classes in all public and private schools, including daycare, elementary, and high school, in Lapu-Lapu City are suspended tomorrow, Monday, September 21, 2026, due to the acutely unhealthy air quality.

It has been several days since we have been experiencing this haze, and we continue to closely monitor the air quality situation in our city. I am asking everyone to take extra precautions, especially our children, senior citizens, and those who may be more sensitive to poor air quality.

Please limit outdoor activities, wear a mask when going outside, and stay indoors whenever possible. Let us continue to follow official advisories and take care of one another as we wait for the air quality to improve.
