BREAKING: President Ferdinand Marcos has signed the bill postponing the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) to 2028, Palace Press Officer Usec. Claire Castro confirmed.

Republic Act No. 12326 also fixes the barangay and SK officials' term to five years.

Under the new law, the next regular BSKE is now set on November 13, 2028.
