The activity forms part of the stationโ€™s continuing efforts to ensure fire preparedness, operational readiness, and the availability of adequate water resources during fire emergencies.

Amid the demands of daily operations and the completion of their weekly tasks, our personnel still found time to take part in meaningful activities that strengthen not only their skills and readiness but also their faith, health, and camaraderie. From attending an online Mass, engaging in physical fitness through pickleball, participating in a refresher course on hose connections, conducting the weekend briefing, and accomplishing many other essential activities, our firefighters continue to make the most of every moment despite their hectic schedules.

The Bureau of Fire Protection - Region 7 under the leadership of ๐…๐‚๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐…๐‘๐„๐ƒ ๐‹ ๐“๐‘๐€๐‰๐„๐‘๐€๐’ ๐‰๐‘, Regional Director, together with ๐…๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐€๐‘๐๐„๐‹ ๐’ ๐€๐๐„๐‹๐‹๐€, Lapu-Lapu City District Fire Marshal in cooperation with Babag Fire Station headed by ๐’๐…๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐‹๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐‰๐ข๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐€ ๐๐š๐ซ๐›๐š responded to a reported structural fire at Toril, Brgy. Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

The report was received over the telephone, reported by a concerned citizen which prompted the Engine Company 8 - Shift B to immediately respond to the area.

Upon arrival, the fire was put out by the concerned neighbors in the area through a water-bucket relay initiative,which is why the fire didn't spread out to the other areas and enabled us to just conduct overhauling operations assisted by Lapu-Lapu City Rescue (LLCDRRMO). A 1-storey single family dwelling was affected with no reported injuries or casualties to both civilians and firefighters.

Earlier this morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection - Region 7 under the leadership of ๐…๐‚๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐…๐‘๐„๐ƒ ๐‹ ๐“๐‘๐€๐‰๐„๐‘๐€๐’ ๐‰๐‘, Regional Director, together with ๐…๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐€๐‘๐๐„๐‹ ๐’ ๐€๐๐„๐‹๐‹๐€, Lapu-Lapu City District Fire Marshal in cooperation with Babag Fire Station headed by ๐’๐…๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐‹๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐‰๐ข๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐€ ๐๐š๐ซ๐›๐š conducted fire prevention seminar and evacuation drill at Marie Ernestine School, Barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

The main objective of this activity is to minimize, if not fully prevent the occurrence of fire, how to engage in fire suppression and initiatw a safe evacuation procedure if the worst possible scenario hits their area.

Bureau of Fire Protection - Region 7 under the leadership of ๐…๐‚๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐…๐‘๐„๐ƒ ๐‹ ๐“๐‘๐€๐‰๐„๐‘๐€๐’ ๐‰๐‘, Regional Director, together with ๐…๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐€๐‘๐๐„๐‹ ๐’ ๐€๐๐„๐‹๐‹๐€, Lapu-Lapu City District Fire Marshal in cooperation with Babag Fire Station headed by ๐’๐…๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐‹๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐‰๐ข๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐€ ๐๐š๐ซ๐›๐š initiated the visibility patrol within our area of responsibility.

Engaging in visibility patrol will increase the fire safety awareness in the community.
