“FRANCISCO” IS NOW NEARING TYPHOON CATEGORY.

The center of Severe Tropical Storm FRANCISCO was estimated based on all available data at 1,170 km East of Southeastern Luzon.

It is moving northwestward at 25 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 135 km/h, and central pressure of 980 hPa.

EARTHQUAKE UPDATE | Naramdaman ang panibagong aftershock sa General Santos City bandang 2:10 ng madaling araw ngayong Hunyo 10, 2026.

Patuloy na mino-monitor ng mga kinauukulang ahensya ang sitwasyon habang nagpapatuloy ang serye ng mga aftershock kasunod ng Magnitude 7.8 na lindol na tumama sa rehiyon.

Pinapayuhan ang publiko na manatiling kalmado, maging alerto, at sundin ang mga abiso ng mga awtoridad para sa kanilang kaligtasan.

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Monday met with a delegation from the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) to discuss advancing risk-informed disaster risk reduction (DRR) investments in the Philippines and across the ASEAN region. The meeting was held at the NDRRM Operations Center in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Discussions centered on the use of practical tools to improve disaster planning and support evidence-based decision-making, alongside efforts to strengthen coordination among government agencies.

The engagement underscores UNDRR’s ongoing collaboration with the Philippines and supports the country’s continued participation in regional disaster risk reduction initiatives.
