Last Monday, March 16, 2026, the Municipal Local Government Operations Office (MLGOO) welcomed the office visit of Agent Anthony June Abing of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Eastern Samar. The meeting served as an opportunity to discuss possible collaboration and strengthen partnerships in support of PDEA’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs.

Present during the meeting was Mr. Victoriano Inciso, CSO Focal Person, who provided updates on the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the municipality. Mr. Inciso presented the pertinent documents of two SEC-accredited CSOs, particularly a youth organization and an irrigators association, as potential partners in community-based initiatives and awareness activities related to drug prevention.

The discussion highlighted the important role of CSOs in mobilizing communities and fostering collective action in promoting a drug-free environment. Through strengthened coordination among government agencies and civil society partners, the initiative aims to support sustained advocacy and community engagement against illegal drugs.
