𝐂𝐆𝐒 𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐊𝐔𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐈𝐋 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

The Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat (CGS SULKUD) together with Coast Guard Sub-Station Lebak Coast Guard Sub-Station Palimbang Coast Guard Sub-Station Kalamansig and Coast Guard Sub-Station San Roque completes the Two-Day Oil Spill Awareness and Response Training conducted by the Marine Environmental Protection Group - Southern Mindanao (MEPG-SM) at CGS SULKUD, Brgy. Tibpuan, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat on May 12-13, 2026.

The training program, designed to enhance the readiness and competence of Coast Guard personnel in managing oil spill incidents, covered critical topics including oil spill prevention protocols, environmental impact assessment, containment and recovery techniques, and interagency coordination procedures. The MEPG-SM delivered comprehensive instruction tailored to the maritime challenges and coastal vulnerabilities, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond swiftly and effectively to oil spill emergencies that may threaten the provincial waters and communities.

The completion of this training underscores CGS SULKUD's commitment to environmental stewardship and maritime safety in support of the Coast Guard's broader mission to protect the nation's marine resources. The trained personnel are now better positioned to implement preventive measures, coordinate rapid response operations, and minimize environmental damage in the event of oil spill incidents. This initiative reinforces the Coast Guard's dedication to safeguarding the province's critical marine ecosystems.

The training was attended by participants representing various agencies and organizations critical to the nation's environmental response framework. Attendees included personnel from the Lebak Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council, Menro Lebak, Lebak Tourism , Municipal Planning and Development Office - MPDO Lebak, Mdrrmo Lebak, BLGU Tibpuan and the local fisherfolks. This diverse participation facilitated knowledge-sharing and strengthened collaborative networks essential for coordinated oil spill response operations across the province.

Nagpaigting ang Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat ng kanilang coastal security patrol operations at baywatch patrol sa iba’t ibang beach resorts sa lalawigan na nagsimula pa noong Marso 28.

Kasabay ng pagdagsa ng mga beachgoers ngayong Semana Santa, nag-activate ang istasyon ng mga Malasakit Helpdesk upang mas mapalapit ang serbisyo sa publiko. Ipinuwesto rin ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard sa mga pangunahing baybaying lugar upang magsagawa ng visibility patrols, tiyakin ang pagsunod sa mga alituntunin sa maritime safety, at mapanatili ang kaayusan at kapayapaan sa mga coastal areas.

Tiniyak ng Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat ang kanilang patuloy na dedikasyon sa pagbibigay ng ligtas, maayos, at organisadong kapaligiran para sa lahat ng nagnanais magbakasyon sa mga baybaying lugar ngayong Semana Santa.

𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗗𝗦𝗖 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝟭𝟳𝟬-𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗚𝗦 𝗦𝗞

Second batch of Criminology Interns from Notre Dame of Salaman College (NDSC) successfully completed their 170-hour internship at Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat (CGS SK), Brgy. Tibpuan, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat from February 24 through March 23, 2026.

Throughout their internship, they were immersed in the core mandates of the PCG, gaining valuable knowledge and practical exposure in maritime safety, maritime security, search and rescue operations, law enforcement, and marine environmental protection. These foundational competencies are essential in shaping future public servants who can respond to real-world maritime challenges.

In preparation for their final activity, the interns underwent a series of body conditioning exercises designed to enhance their physical fitness, stamina, and overall operational readiness. This rigorous training ensured that they were fully equipped to meet the demands of the 700-meter swim—an activity that symbolizes not only physical capability but also determination and perseverance.

The successful completion of their 700-meter swim reflects the interns’ commitment to excellence and their readiness to take on greater responsibilities in the public safety.

The Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat commends all interns for their dedication and hard work and is looking forward to seeing them become future leaders and partners in ensuring the safety, security, and protection of our nation’s maritime domain.

The Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat (CGS SULKUD) joined the Coastal Clean-up Drive spearheaded by Sultan Kudarat Marpsta at Brgy. Tibpuan, Lebak Sultan Kudarat on March 13, 2026.

CGS SULKUD and 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗯-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗸 (𝗖𝗚𝗦𝗦 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗸) personnel participated in a coastal clean-up activity as part of the PCG iCare Program, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to go beyond its maritime mandate by supporting meaningful community initiatives.

Through their participation, Coastguardians joined local stakeholders and volunteers in promoting environmental awareness and helping preserve the cleanliness of coastal areas, while strengthening the relationship between the Coast Guard and the communities it serves. Approximately 15 sacks of garbage consisting mainly of plastic wrappers, water bottles, and other solid waste materials were collected.
𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗸 Menro Lebak and members of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) also participated the said activity.

𝐂𝐆𝐒 𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐊𝐔𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝟏𝐒𝐓 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐅𝐓

The Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat (CGS SULKUD) conducted the First Quarter Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for 2026 at Lorenzo Palileo Airstrip, Brgy. Purikay, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat on March 11, 2026.

The PFT conducted included sit and reach, push-ups, sit-ups, and a 3.2-kilometer run. The activity was participated by personnel from CGS SULKUD, Coast Guard Sub-Station Lebak (CGSS Lebak), and Coast Guard Sub-Station Kalamansig (CGSS Kalamansig) to evaluate the physical capability, endurance, and overall fitness of personnel to ensure they meet the service’s required standards.

Physical Fitness Test helps maintain operational efficiency, promotes health and discipline, and ensures that the Coastguardians of Sultan Kudarat remain physically prepared to effectively perform demanding duties in maritime law enforcement, search and rescue, disaster response, and environmental protection.

The Coast Guard Station Sultan Kudarat (CGS SK) proudly recognizes Lieutenant Junior Grade King James I Luis PCG on his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade during the Donning and Oath-Taking Ceremony presided over by the Commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, held at the National Headquarters, Coast Guard Fleet Ground, Port Area, Manila on March 3, 2026.

LTJG Luis virtually took his oath and formally assumed his new rank with humility and pride, marking another significant milestone in his career in public service. His promotion reflects years of dedicated service, professional competence, and steadfast commitment to the mission and core values of the PCG.

CGS SK expresses full confidence in LTJG Luis’ ability to lead with integrity, uphold maritime safety and security, and carry out greater responsibilities in service to the people of Sultan Kudarat.

"𝐏𝐀𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐋𝐀 𝐒𝐀 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐒𝐃𝐀"

Typhoon Advisory: 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 “𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚” (𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗛𝗔) In reference to 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧–𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗦𝗔 Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 9, issued at 11:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “BASYANG” (International name: PENHA) was estimated, based on all available data, at 295 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (08.0°N, 129.0°E).

The tropical depression has maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center, with gusts of up to 80 km/h, and is moving westward at a speed of 25 km/h. The surge of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is expected to bring strong to gale-force winds, especially over coastal and upland areas exposed to winds, 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨.

In view of the foregoing, 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐮𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 hereby implements the 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐄𝐀 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 for all types of vessels, effective immediately and until further notice. Sea travel operations may resume once weather and sea conditions return to normal, as officially declared by 𝐏𝐀𝐆-𝐀𝐒𝐀, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐏𝐂𝐆 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟎𝟐-𝟏𝟑, “𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫” 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝟎𝟓 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟑. Furthermore, vessels and watercraft intending to take shelter shall be permitted, provided that: Such intent is manifested through a written request; and No passengers or cargo are onboard.
