“An Ordinance Creating the Local Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Council, Providing Its Structure and Functions, and Providing Funds Thereof.”

The ordinance establishes a local mechanism for the systematic monitoring of drinking water quality within the municipality, reinforcing the commitment of the Sangguniang Bayan to safeguard public health, promote access to safe and potable water, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

📌Ordinance No. 2026-592: An Ordinance Prohibiting the Act of Being Topless or Half-Naked in Public Places within the Municipality of Leganes

📌Ordinance No. 2026-593: An Ordinance Regulating the Use and Operation of Videoke Machines and Other Amplified Audio Devices in Residential and Public Areas within the Municipality of Leganes

📌Ordinance No. 2026-594: An Ordinance Instituting a Curfew for Minors in the Municipality of Leganes

PUBLIC ADVISORY: TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF NAPNUD BRIDGE

​Date: August 15, 2026 to December 31, 2026
Authority: Provincial Ordinance No. 2026-358 / Resolution No. 2026-668

​Please be informed that the Napnud Bridge along the Leganes Poblacion–Leganes Beach Road in the Municipality of Leganes, Province of Iloilo, will undergo temporary closure to facilitate necessary rehabilitation, repair, and expansion works.

​The project includes constructing new substructure and superstructure components and extending the bridge length from 8.00 meters to 15.00 meters to enhance structural integrity, road accessibility, and safety for all commuters.

​Location: Napnud Bridge, Leganes Poblacion–Leganes Beach Road, Leganes, Iloilo
​Implementing Agencies: Office of the Provincial Engineer in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Leganes

​Traffic Management & Reminders

​Directional signs and advisories will be installed to guide motorists and residents to identified alternate routes.

​Reflectorized warning signs, safety barriers, and traffic personnel will be deployed on-site.

​Notice: Motorists and residents are advised to plan their trips in advance and take designated alternate routes to avoid delays. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our public infrastructure.

The Office of the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Leganes conducted a Public Consultation today, July 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM, at the Leganes Legislative Building Parking Area for the enactment of a proposed ordinance entitled:

“An Ordinance Creating the Local Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Council, Providing Its Structure and Functions, and Providing Funds Thereof”

The aforementioned ordinance was sponsored by the Committee on Health, Sanitation and DRRM headed by its Chairman, SB Member Adolfo Doromal Jaen II and Co-Authored by SB Member Atty. Theodore P. Ted Banderado , SB Member Rhea Jinon Jagunap and SB Member Martin D. Orig Jaen III.
