And just like that, Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 comes to a close!
From the court to the conversations, we came together to learn, play, speak up, and connect through celebrating the many ways young people can participate and make their voices heard.
But our celebration of youth participation doesn't end with Linggo ng Kabataan. If we want young people to have a meaningful voice in our communities, we must also protect their right to participate in the decisions that shape them. And that starts with giving the youth the opportunity to choose their leaders and be part of the democratic process.
With this, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Lapayon stands firmly with the youth in calling for:
NO TO BSKE POSTPONEMENT❗️
Any further delay would mean postponing the people’s right to choose their leaders, especially the youth, who deserve the opportunity to elect representatives who reflect their aspirations, priorities, and vision for their communities. It would also delay the entry of new voices and ideas into local governance, disrupt the continuity of democratic processes, and potentially weaken accountability by limiting voters’ ability to evaluate and replace their representatives.
Let the people decide. Let the elections happen.
