Last August 22, 2012 the Municipality of Development Council of the Municipality of Leganes has conducted a One- day Program/Project/Activity Conflict-Compatibility Workshop at Iloilo Midtown Hotel, Yulo St. Iloilo City and was participated by all members of the Sectoral Committees of the said Council.

Last August 22, 2012 the Municipality of Development Council of the Municipality of Leganes has conducted a One-Day Program/Project/Activity Conflict-Compatibility Workshop at Iloilo Midtown Hotel, Yulo St., Iloilo City and was participated by all members of the Sectoral Committees of the said Council.

This is in compliance with the provision of R.A. 7160 that each local Government unit shall have a comprehensive multi-sectoral development plan to be initiated with national policies and standards, the sectoral or functional committees shall define sectoral or functional objectives, set target, and indentify programs, projects, and activities for the particular sector or function.

By the end of the workshop, the Sectoral Committee of the Municipal Development Council were able to prepare the final listing of PPAs for CY 2013. Attesting the positive response and attendance by the participants is the attendance sheet signed by every member present.

It is provided also by the law that on or before October 16 of every calendar year, the Municipal Development Council has to submit its final program and activities to the Sanggunian for review and approval. It is in this context that said council opted to deliberate closely and intelligently the proposed programs and projects and at the end of the day there was a fruitful outcome since all the concerns where addressed to and given solutions and considerations.

July is the Nutrition Month and the Municipality of Leganes has conducted several activities like Search for Well-Baby 2012 at the Leganes Youth Development Center last July 13, 2012 at 8:30 in the morning and on July 16, 2012 is the Launching of the Busog-Lusog Program and Cooking Contest with the theme “Pagkain ng Gulay ugaliin, Araw-araw itong ihain”.
The following are the winners of the said contests. For the Search for Well-Baby; 1st is Baby Liezel Joy Deloso; 2nd is Baby Farrah Khalene Esteves and the 3rd is Baby Ram Vincent Molia.
For the Busog-Lusog Program and Cooking Contest, the winners are: 1st Rodel Guillaran; 2nd is Mary Jane Guaro and the 3rd is Richard Albao.
These nutrition month activities enabled the participating groups to showcase their skills in cooking and the Search for Well-Baby 2012 are the avenues wherein parents shared their motherly expertise in caring and upbringing their children.
These activities surely won everyone’s heart, particularly those who do care for the health and life and must be observed yearly.
