CAMARINES NORTE’S RANK 5 MOST WANTED PERSON ARRESTED IN MANHUNT OPERATION
LEGAZPI CITY, ALBAY — September 3, 2026 — The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) reported the successful arrest of the Rank 5 Provincial Most Wanted Person (PMWP) of Camarines Norte during a manhunt operation conducted in Daet, Camarines Norte, on September 2, 2026.
At about 3:30 PM, joint personnel of the Daet Municipal Police Station, as the lead unit, together with the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office conducted a manhunt operation at Barangay Pamorangon, Daet, Camarines Norte, which resulted in the apprehension of the wanted person.
Arrested was alias “Mers,” 64 years old, and a resident of Barangay Bagasbas, Daet, Camarines Norte.
The arrest was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated August 27, 2026, issued in connection with a case for Statutory R**e by Sexual Assault, with a recommended bail of Php200,000.00.
Following his arrest, the accused was brought to and is currently in the custody of the Daet MPS for proper documentation and disposition in accordance with existing laws, rules, and procedures.
The successful apprehension highlights the continuing efforts of the Camarines Norte PPO and its operating units to locate and arrest individuals with standing warrants and ensure that they are brought before the proper authorities to face the charges filed against them.

Nananatiling pangunahing tungkulin ng PRO 5 ang pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at seguridad ng ating mga komunidad”, said PBGEN RANDY GLENN G SILVIO, Regional Director, PRO 5.
PRO 5 also encourages the public to remain vigilant and provide authorities with information that may assist in locating wanted persons and preventing unlawful activities in their communities. # # #
