CAMARINES NORTE’S RANK 5 MOST WANTED PERSON ARRESTED IN MANHUNT OPERATION

LEGAZPI CITY, ALBAY — September 3, 2026 — The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) reported the successful arrest of the Rank 5 Provincial Most Wanted Person (PMWP) of Camarines Norte during a manhunt operation conducted in Daet, Camarines Norte, on September 2, 2026.

At about 3:30 PM, joint personnel of the Daet Municipal Police Station, as the lead unit, together with the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office conducted a manhunt operation at Barangay Pamorangon, Daet, Camarines Norte, which resulted in the apprehension of the wanted person.

Arrested was alias “Mers,” 64 years old, and a resident of Barangay Bagasbas, Daet, Camarines Norte.

The arrest was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated August 27, 2026, issued in connection with a case for Statutory R**e by Sexual Assault, with a recommended bail of Php200,000.00.

Following his arrest, the accused was brought to and is currently in the custody of the Daet MPS for proper documentation and disposition in accordance with existing laws, rules, and procedures.

The successful apprehension highlights the continuing efforts of the Camarines Norte PPO and its operating units to locate and arrest individuals with standing warrants and ensure that they are brought before the proper authorities to face the charges filed against them.

“Hindi tayo titigil sa ating manhunt operations at paiigtingin pa natin ang ating intelligence gathering at koordinasyon sa iba’t ibang police units upang matiyak na ang mga wanted person ay matagpuan at maiharap sa kaukulang proseso ng batas. 13 MOST WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED IN ONE-DAY NATIONWIDE OPERATIONS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested 13 wanted persons, including several regional most wanted individuals and one national most wanted person, in separate operations conducted across the country on September 2, 2026.

Among the significant arrests was a national most wanted person with a ₱50,000 reward who was apprehended in Upi, Maguindanao del Norte in connection with a murder case. The operation involved police units from Isabela, South Cotabato, and Maguindanao del Norte, together with CIDG and intelligence personnel. The arrested individual was placed under the custody of the CIDG Isabela PFU.

In Iligan City, police arrested a No.1 Most Wanted Person in the region in connection with four counts of r**e. In another operation in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental, a No. 2 Most Wanted Person was apprehended over four counts of statutory r**e. Meanwhile, a No. 3 Most Wanted Person was arrested in Asuncion, Davao del Norte for cases involving statutory r**e, r**e by sexual assault, and acts of lasciviousness.

In other operations, police arrested two No. 10 Most Wanted Persons in Malapatan, Sarangani Province, both in connection with murder cases. Another wanted individual listed among the region's No. 9 was apprehended in Pigcawayan, Cotabato for r**e, while a No. 10 most wanted person was arrested in Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat for violation of Republic Act No. 10883.

Other arrests were made in New Bataan, Davao de Oro, where a No.7 Most Wanted Person was apprehended for parricide; Pulilan, Bulacan, where a No.5 Most Wanted Person was arrested in connection with 30 counts of r**e by sexual assault in relation to Republic Act No. 7610; Esperanza, Agusan del Sur, where a No. 7 Most Wanted Person was arrested for statutory r**e; and Davao City, where a No. 3 Most Wanted Person was apprehended for syndicated estafa.

Another wanted person was arrested in Braulio E. Dujali, Davao del Norte, in connection with cases involving qualified statutory r**e, acts of lasciviousness, sexual assault, and qualified r**e through sexual assault. All 13 arrests were carried out by virtue of warrants of arrest, with the arrested individuals turned over to the appropriate police units or custodial facilities for proper disposition.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the latest arrests show the importance of sustained intelligence work and coordination in locating wanted persons.

“Kapag may warrant, hindi ito dapat natatabunan ng panahon. We have to keep looking, keep coordinating, and make sure that every arrest is done properly and within the law. That is the kind of police work we want—focused, disciplined, and accountable,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operations are part of the PNP’s Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which supports coordinated and intelligence-led police action while ensuring that the rights of all persons are respected and legal procedures are observed.

The PNP will continue working with police units and partner agencies nationwide to locate wanted persons and support the judicial process, consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s emphasis on public safety and the rule of law.

These continuing efforts form part of the PNP’s commitment to the “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” delivering responsive and lawful police service to communities across the country.

PRO 5 CAPTURES RANK 9 BICOL MOST WANTED PERSON FACING ILLEGAL DRUG CHARGES

LEGAZPI CITY, ALBAY — September 3, 2026 — The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5), under the leadership of PBGEN RANDY GLENN S SILVIO, Regional Director, captured the Rank 9 Regional Most Wanted Person of Bicol during a joint manhunt operation conducted at about 9:20 AM on September 2, 2026, in Camarines Sur.

The wanted person, identified by the alias “Win,” was captured at Barangay Sagrada, Minalabac, Camarines Sur, through the coordinated efforts of joint personnel from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Camarines Sur Provincial Field Unit (PFU), as the lead unit; Minalabac Municipal Police Station, Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office; Camarines Sur Maritime Police Station; 501st Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5; 95th Special Action Company, 9th Special Action Battalion, PNP Special Action Force; and NCIT-RIU 5.

The apprehension was effected by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the court dated August 17, 2026.

Alias “Win” is facing charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly Section 5, Article II, involving the sale, trading, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution, and transportation of dangerous drugs, with no bail recommended.

He is likewise facing a charge for another violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165, or possession of dangerous drugs with ₱200,000.00 bail recommended.

Following his capture, the arrested person was brought to the CIDG Camarines Sur PFU for proper documentation and disposition in accordance with law and established procedures.

Verification through the Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System further showed that the arrested person has a previous case for alleged Violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165, which is currently on trial, as well as a case for Theft, which is under preliminary investigation. Records also reflected an entry in the e-Rouge system for alleged violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165, which is likewise on trial.

The successful capture of one of the region’s fugitive highlights the continuing efforts of PRO 5 and its operating units to intensify manhunt operations against wanted persons and ensure that individuals with standing warrants are brought before the proper authorities.

GUNMAN IN BACOLOD FATAL ATTACK NABBED AFTER HOT PURSUIT

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested the alleged gunman in a fatal gun attack in Bacolod City on September 1, 2026, after police immediately pursued the suspect following the killing in Purok St. Vincent, Barangay Alijis.

The suspect, alias “Budoy,” 37, male, and a resident of Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, was apprehended by personnel of Police Station 7, Bacolod City Police Office, in Barangay Tangub following a sustained hot pursuit operation.

Initial investigation showed that the incident allegedly stemmed from a heated argument between the suspect and the victim. The suspect allegedly went to his residence, obtained an unidentified firearm, returned to the area, and fired several shots at the victim, resulting in the victim’s instantaneous death. The suspect then fled the scene.

Police Station 7 immediately deployed responding personnel to the area to verify the incident and conduct the initial investigation. A hot pursuit operation was launched to locate the fleeing gunman, while the station coordinated with the Bacolod Forensic Unit for crime scene processing and forensic examination.

The police search led to the suspect’s apprehension later that day at Gardenville Subdivision. He is currently under the custody of Police Station 7 for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.

“A violent act that takes a person’s life demands a firm and immediate law enforcement response. We will pursue every legitimate lead and make sure that those responsible are brought before the law,” PGEN Nartatez said.

“Hindi dapat makatakas ang sinumang responsable sa pagkitil ng buhay. Sa tulong ng ating mga kababayan, mas mabilis nating natutukoy at nahuhuli ang mga gumagawa ng krimen,” he added.

The apprehension reflects Enhanced Managing Police Operations under the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly the PNP’s commitment to a prompt and sustained response against serious crimes and threats to public safety.

PNP ARRESTS THREE, UNCOVERS 10-GUN CACHE IN COTABATO

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested three men and recovered 10 unlicensed fi****ms after the PNP–Highway Patrol Group (HPG) intercepted three vehicles during an operation in Midsayap, Cotabato, on September 1, 2026.

The Special Operations Team of Regional Highway Patrol Unit 12, together with personnel of the Midsayap Municipal Police Station, was conducting patrol operations in Barangay Poblacion 5 in connection with anti-carnapping efforts when they encountered three vehicles that were illegally parked and causing obstruction.

The vehicles involved were a white Mitsubishi Montero, a gray Toyota Hilux, and a white Nissan Navara. While police personnel were approaching the vehicles for possible issuance of citation tickets, they allegedly spotted a pistol openly placed near the gear shift of one of the vehicles.

The discovery prompted police to ask for the pertinent documents for the firearm, but the driver allegedly failed to present the required documents. The three male occupants were subsequently apprehended, and the vehicles were secured for further investigation.

The arrested suspects were three male drivers aged 31, 28, and 22, all residents of Nabalawag, SGA-BARMM. The 31-year-old and 28-year-old suspects are residents of Barangay Kadigasan, while the 22-year-old suspect is from Barangay Kadingilan.

A total of 10 unlicensed fi****ms were recovered, consisting of four Cal. .45 C**t pistols, three Cal. .45 Armscor pistols, one Cal. .45 Infinity Fi****ms GPTX USA pistol, one Cal. .45 Re*****on pistol, one Elisco M16A1 rifle, and one Cal. 5.56 Re*****on Arms rifle, along with several magazines and assorted ammunition.

The three suspects are facing proceedings for alleged violations of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code and Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act. The recovered fi****ms, ammunition, magazines, and vehicles were secured for proper documentation, ballistic examination, verification, and appropriate legal proceedings.

PGEN Nartatez underscored the importance of vigilance during routine police activities, noting that encounters initially involving traffic violations can also uncover more serious threats to public safety.

“Our personnel must remain alert even during routine patrols because seemingly ordinary encounters can reveal serious threats. This operation demonstrates the importance of vigilance, sound judgment, and decisive police action in keeping our communities safe,” PGEN Nartatez said.

“Ang pagkumpiska sa mga ilegal na baril ay mahalagang hakbang upang maiwasan ang krimen at maprotektahan ang ating mga komunidad. Mananagot sa batas ang sinumang lalabag sa mga patakaran sa pagmamay-ari at pagdadala ng armas,” he added.

The operation supports the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, through proactive enforcement against threats to public safety.

The recovered fi****ms, ammunition, magazines, and three vehicles remain secured as authorities undertake the necessary documentation, ballistic examination, verification, and legal proceedings.

The successful arrests and recovery of illegal fi****ms underscore the PNP’s vigilance in keeping communities safe. Under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it assures the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
