USAP UniFAST Strengthens Coordination Among Camarines Sur HEIs
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office V continued its USAP UniFAST initiative with its third leg in the Province of Camarines Sur today, August 18, 2026, at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) Auditorium.
Hosted by the CSPC, USAP UniFAST aimed to intensify coordination in implementing several UniFAST programs such as the Tertiary Education Subsidy and Tulong Dunong Program.
In his message, CSPC President Dr. Amado Oliva Jr., emphasized that USAP UniFAST is timely and significant, that this activity is not just merely a meeting or compliance activity but an important platform where implementors and partners of the program can come together to clarify the guidelines, address operational challenges, and share good practices and iron out issues that can delay or weaken the delivery of assistance to the students.
โSa pamamagitan ng bukas at makabuluhang pag-uusap masisiguro natin ang bawat polisiya ay nauunawan, ang bawat pondo ay napapamahalaan ng maayos at ang bawat kwalipikadong mag-aaral ay napaglilingkuran ng mabilis, tama, at may malasakit,โ said CSPC President Oliva.
The activity was attended by scholarship coordinators, focal persons, registrars, accountants, and CHED and UniFAST personnel. It serves as an avenue for participants to gain updates on the new policies and guidelines, and strengthening the implementation of higher education and student financial assistance programs.
In an inspirational message of Regional Director Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr., he stressed that the need to increase to fast track efforts and the efficiency and effectiveness in delivering the services to the students is a must to work and focus on.

The activity featured presentations on the TES and TDP guidelines by Lead Regional Coordinator Emmanuel Villamor; the 2026โ2027 disbursement by Project Technical Staff (PTS) II Patricia Grace Bagagรฑan; CHED Bicol Prospects and Perspectives by PTS II Engr. Reyjohn Soriano; and Highest Bicol by PTS II and Camarines Sur Provincial Focal Mark Joseph Medollar.
Meanwhile, representatives from Landbank-Iriga Branch, Wendi Angeli Margate, Executive Assistant, and Raquel Cordova also provided an orientation on the updated LBP account opening for TES and TDP grantees.
Highlights of the activity are the awarding of certificates of commendation to top-performing HEIs. A total of seven (7) HEIs in Camarines Sur are top-performing schools, namely: Camarines Sur Polytechnic College, Ateneo de Naga University, Ceguera Technological Colleges, Holy Trinity College of Camarines Sur, Naga College Foundation, Siena College-Tigaon, and Shepherdville College.
The USAP UniFAST activity will proceed to Camarines Norte tomorrow, August 19, for its fourth leg.
